This swap is for a 4x4" chunky book. The chunky book's theme is "Chunky Funky Monsters" -- Please take note. CHUNKY is the main work here. Must do more than a piece of yarn with beads.... This is an OPEN MEDIA chunky book - so work in what you are comfortable with. I ask that everyone do their ***best work***--please create pages that you would like others to receive and that you are proud of. DON'T DO THE SAME PAGES 14 times.... As an added bonus, I'll give a small surprise to the person who has the nicest pages--so work hard!

In a traditional chunky book, each player makes a page for each other player. I'm going to allow up to 15 players in this chunky book swap, you'll be making 14 pages (15 if you want one for yourself).

Please create your pages so that the back looks nice too. Also, please use a thicker paper or light board for the pages themselves--I want them to be at least somewhat sturdy.

Remember these pages are going to be in a BOOK or Hang them on your wall. That means don't put chunky stuff on top of pages . When we say "chunky" we mean fibers, wire, beads, and things dangling off of and around the pages. The pages themselves can have a little bit of embellishment, but should not be so thick they aren't able to fit comfortably in a book. Ok everyone? You can chunky the right side or bottom. Please don't chunky the left side. so they will go into books.

For the chunky book, I'm going to allow everyone to do their own binding.

Due: The chunky book pages will be due IN MY HANDs by May 1st 2008 !!. This gives you plenty of time to get pages done.

Shipping: Both US and International participants must pay for their own return postage on this one because of the cost involved in shipping. US participants can send well-concealed cash and/or stamps and a LARGE BUBBLE ENVELOPE to return your chunky book pages. International participants... I can provide the bubble envelope for the international participants to save on their shipping here. But I cannot cover your postage because I'm a BROKE! "Starving Artist Style"

I am working on my last few monsters, I got inspiration from looking at some of picasso's portraits. hehe! Anyone have any good inspiration for these creatures?

Question - Are the fibers off the edges mandatory? I have seen some chunky book pages without and I know a lot of people use them but I'm not sure they will look well with my page. My monster is already dimensional (but flat enough for a book) and I am worried about the fibers competing with it.

The first monster is texture medium, acrylics and paper. The second monster is textured paper embossed to create a resist with acrylics.
