I would like to host an ATC Melt-A-Thon using the mediums of Melted Crayon, Encaustic Wax and Beeswax. Will anyone be interested. It would be anything goes as far as collage, mixed media or hand painted These are the dates if there is enough interest.

Yeah...MidniteCreations and I talked about it. Would love to see the three different techniques together.

Ooh sounds like fun - I have a huge block of beeswax and heaps of crayons so I'm ready - found a box of 60 crayons for $3 might go back and buy a couple more - they worked really well

I buy crayons when they're on sale. The cheapest was $1.25 for a box of 64!

Love playing with melted crayons! Haven't tried beeswax or encaustics yet!

I'll have the references on How to Guide for all three! I got permission from Loralou and mrubyjean for the encaustic and beeswax. (Thank you ladies!) and would be your preference on which one to do or maybe try all three.

I'd love to do this having gotten hooked on both beeswax and melted crayons recently. The first weekend in August is not good because that's the weekend of the big rubber stamp convention here in Cincinnati. I'd have a lot less time to play than the other weekends (though I'd rather not do Labor Day weekend because there may be conflicting events).

I understand about the holiday week-end, I just put it out there if some people would like the extended time. :)

Terrific idea!!
I voted for an August weekend, but Labor Day weekend would work for me as well..I don't like to travel anywhere on holiday weekends.

I know there are tutorials for the beeswax/napkin and the melted crayon techniques. Is there any info here on encaustics though?
