I am looking for interest from members who I know very well, and can trust with a view to possible setting up a new group.
The reason that it has to be people who have been around for a while and who are well known is that these little books get posted around to each other, and that puts a lot of trust in those people.
Please PM me, do not reply in the thread if you are interested.
Also would be great if an experienced moley maker would join me in this since I am a beginner but very keen to do one!

I´d love to try moleskins sometime, but they are so expensive here. Hopefully next time! By then I might even have tried art journaling!

I bought mine on ebay for £8 including postage. So that is like $16....no idea what it might be in Sweden.
Pippin is in!

Yeah get the Japanese one if you are buying one. If you have one already to use, then thats fine with me.

It is a great group, already! Mine is the "Japanese album," which is an accordian. The paper seems nice in it, too. Not as good as watercolor paper, but nice heavy cardstock.

Marla412 Takes the last spot, I am not sure how these things work and if you can have 8 to include lilbad....and seasoned moley makers know if 8 is ok?
I will post a thread for us soon!
Any suggestions for a group name?

I have the accordian Japanese type. If you divide it by 7 you get 4 pages for each people. If you divide it by 8 then ??? I don't know but I don't mind!

BTW I am both excited and terrified!!

And I have one question to KatieV: if your Moleskine is the watercolor type, do we have to use watercolor only in your book? If yes, it's still time for me to withdraw because I've never used watecolors before!!
I'll work in mixed-media style. Hope it's not a problem for the members of this group. If it is, please let me know! Thanks!

I got the watercolor book because I like the orientation and thickness of the pages, not cause I like watercolor. You can do whatever you want in it! :D

to include lilbad, can't we do 3 pages each? then there are 5 pages left, so we could have another player and that would leave 2 extra pages in the back that can be used as "outro" pages (similar to the 2 "intro" pages in the front). the outro pages can be decorated by the moley owner and then players could leave a little note, or photo and brief bio...something along those lines. what do you think? (sorry if i rambled a bit here)

katilady

just a suggestion based on the moley going on at iatc's, where we have 8 players: if each person, including the owner of the moley, does 3.5 pages it will fit and it could look cool cause the pages would blend together. :)

ElectaBlue

I like the idea of the pages blending into each other. That seems to be one of the big advantages of the accordian style.

Pippin

I too like the idea of blending the pages. I would most likely be doing mixed media anyway, so it would be a fun challenge ( i think!!) I will order an accordion moley now!!

kati- you're so smart! i'm not good at fractions!

Loralou

Well it's ok with me, it sounds cool to blend in with each other. Any objections to having 8 members?
If no objections I will add her :)
