Inchies (1x1 inch miniature art) - one of the very few things smaller than an ATC. Who collects them?
I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread for those who do and who are looking for people to do personal trades with. If you make an entry, please add the information
- what kind of inchies you make, and
- what kind of inchies you collect.



I'll start:
I make hand-drawn flower inchies, and I collect basically everything hand-drawn.

I make mostly Hand Drawn Inchies but also love doing them in collage, rubberstamps and painted.

I collect any theme!

I was making 'postage' inchies for someone in the PIF inchies at ATCards before it shut down & I was sure I printed out the email with the recipient's name & address but I can't find it now (& the site shut down earlier than we were told so I couldn't retreive it from my messages)

If you are the one who took me up on my PIF offer for postage inchies, please contact me so I can send them to you. I apologize for the kerfuffle.

I have a tiny mail art project ready to pass on but don't know anyone else who does mail art other than the person I got it from! The art is on "tags": about 1x1.5 inches. It came from Spain, went through the US, then here to Canada. It needs one more player who will take a tag of mine, make a tag, and send it back to it's originator in Spain. Anyone interested?

I like making inchies. I hate cutting the dern things though...
I make hand drawn and collage inchies. Any theme, any medium.
I have only six inchies that I have traded for. I'd like to trade for some more.
I have a set of nine in a cat theme. They are collaged.
I have a set of nine made with cashmere sweater fabric and charms sewn on.
I have a set of four in a cat theme. They are collaged.
I have a set of nine in gray tones of a woman's face--collaged.
And I'll make you a set of any number in any theme you want, in any medium. I paint in acrlics, watercolor and ink. I do pencil and pen and ink drawings and I collage. Just pm me and we will come up with a plan! You can see my inchies on my flickr page here:

I didn't start making inchies until I joined this group, so my collection needs many, many additions. I would love to trade with any and all. This is one thing I can put together fairly fast. So far, I have done wine labels, asian, black/white, vintage advertising. I am working on more black/white, Audrey Hepburn, asian, vintage ladies, and I am just cutting bases and backgrounds by the ton and roughing in future projects. PM me if you want to trade.

I make mandala inchies, and I frequently use fluorescent and metallic ink on them. I don't collect any particular theme, but vintage collage type items attract me as well as a clever combination of a word and picture....
I also sometimes trade work by others, that I have enjoyed for a while and am ready to part with. So I have some extras available for swapping that way, too.

I have just started trading inchies. I do collaged mixed media ones. I especially like giving and getting nudes and dark themes, BUT I am open to other ideas as long as they are creative and fun!

I have made a couple of inchies and will probably do so more. I was wondering if inchies are normally traded in batches. Is there a standard amount traded? Should I ask for trades 3 or 5 or 9 or ?

If I traded I would probably want to do it for more than one inchie. Also, when I do art not part of a swap, I often make sets or cards that are the same theme or same color combinations. I would probably tie this into batches. For example, if people traded groups of 9 inchies I would make sets of 9, if people traded sets of 5 I would make 5 or 10 (for 2 sets of 5).

I just caught your post in the inchie thread. I am new to inchies but this is what I know.

You can trade any number for any number but people do seem to be used to trading sets of inchies rather than individual ones.

I try to make the inchies in my sets different but I have traded for sets of inchies that are pretty much all the same. When I was in an inchie swap the hostess wanted each one to be a little different.

A lot of my inchies are digital and therefore unlimited. They are located in the "Other Art" section of my gallery. Would anyone like to trade?

We can work out the themes, I love to receive interesting unusual collages (or usually hand drawn/painted). As far as themes go I love anything under the sea related/outer space/chickens/robots.

I'll do inchies in just about any medium - if I have it. Multi-media, pen/ink, watercolor, beeswax (my latest phase). When I get a few more swaps done, I hope to post some "just to trade" - but PM me if you want something. I like 6:6, but I'll do fewer or more.

I'm kind of behind the times, but I've just gotten into inchies. I don't have any yet! :cry: So I really, really want to trade!

I would do collage as that's pretty much all I can do, LOL! And I don't collect anything in particular, but I do love Asian and vintage.

I only just starting on making inchies. I never bothered before, but I got a whole lot of inchie blanks in the mail recently and I thought I may as well give it a go. I really enjoyed it, I made about 3 so far, 2 in mixed media and one handrawn. You can see two of them here:
