At this time I have not a clue of my schedule... however I'm sure I can fit some stamping in. AND, I have new stamps not yet used, so what a good excuse to get them broken in.

yes rubber stamps...

Rubber stamped images with some used postage stamps as part of the composition. Hmmm... That could be an interesting combination.

Christmas!?!? :D We actually had a lady in the store today checking papers out for her Christmas cards.

I make my Christmas cards when I have my summer vacation. It's the time only of the year when I really have time to do everything exrta. And I want to make the cards when I'm not busy and when I enjoy it.

Hi: Sanna clued me in about these events and I'd like to sign up and try my hand at this. Is it rubber stamping only or are postage stamps included..guess you could combine the two Sounds fun.

Hi Pochadiva! Chardonnay let me send some invitations :).

This a-thon is for rubber stamp & ink. The card can be made by using any medium but there has to something stamped.

I got loads of stamps!!! but I have never done an A-thon thingie...I'm scared...it sounds intensively fast and I am definitely a "s-l-o-w" creator....
But I saw that Pochadiva dared jumping in!... so maybe I can talk her into doing it together... there are strength in numbers! I guess I have time to gather my courage till June.

Oh do it Helene! Here's some tips:

Feel free to make backgrounds ahead of time
Have plenty of good snacks and drinks!
It's quality, not quantity that matters. If you're slow at stamping, who cares? I personally only trade for well made cards myself, and hey, if 3 people want the same one, it's okay to make variations for everyone!

I'm slow too. So I do as much as possible before hand. Backgrounds, cutting card stock, picking out stamps I want to use.

I'm slow too, but I usually manage one card just to say "been there done that". I think my record is three!

....and since I'm greedy and don't like to trade cards that I've spent that much time on, I usually make two similar cards...one for me one to trade.

Mmmmm! I'mm thinking about this, it sounds great but scary.

Don't be scared! You just spend as much time as you like stamping and chatting in the thread and looking at all the neat atc's being posted in the thread. If you get one done, great. If you don't, no problem. We have no quotas.

Sometimes I plan to play and just don't feel creative, or I get busy and I don't get any cards made. I end up just looking at the cards everyone else has made. Other times I might only get one card made all weekend. It's still fun to play. :) There's no pressure.

LOL I don't think that's being greedy! I almost always make one for myself. But then, I'm a stamper and..."Stampers do it repeatedly". LOL So I often make more than 1-2.

I will try to join the SAT for that week-end - things have been kinda rough for me lately, so I've tried not to take in too many projects - but - we'll see. I'd love to join if my schedule - and/or energy - permits!

I love looking at all the cards created during a SAT but I rarely manage to make a card I think is worth offering - during a ZAT I find it much easier to make and offer cards. Let's see if I can change this around in June. . .

When you say stamped cards, do you mean only stamping or stamping as an element of the card?

sniisk
05-16-2010, 08:21 AM
There can be also other elements as long as there is something stamped on the card. Here are some examples from my gallery:

Seedlet - as long as a portion of your card is stamped it qualifies. Also you can use everyday items to stamp your art. I've seen cut veggies create some interesting images, sponges, bubble wrap, wheels on a childs toy - the options are endless. Please feel free to join us - we'd love to have you!

I'll definitely lurk at least; I might try to throw in a few cards if I can. I hadn't thought about using other items to stamp, I might have to poke around the apartment and see if I can find anything exciting :3
