Hi guys,

At the risk of sounding very cheeky, i just wondered if anyone had any ATC's that they have hanging around their galleries for too long or have you made some that you don't think are quite right?
My mum is recovering from a fractured spine & to cheer her up i made her a few ATC's & put together a little album. Now she's addicted to them. Although she doesn't make them herself she loves it when i give her a new one & loves to hear about which swaps i have joined & seeing my returns.
So i just thought that if by chance you had any going spare, i know my Mum would give them a good home.

I haven't told her about this posting & they would want them mailed straight to her address as a surprise.

Ok then. Here goes. She loves Bingo, reading, cookery programmes, food, although she doesn't really cook anything herself anymore. She has tried making cards but tends to stick everything to herself rather than where it's supposed to be. Then she loses patience and ends up giving me all her scrummy craft stash. She's very generous & is always giving/buying things for people. She likes doing word searches & things she can do sat down cos she barely walks anymore. Oh, and i love her loads. x

Mum has started getting her cards & was so surprised & excited to know that there are more coming for her.
It has really cheered her up & if she lets me near her with the camera, i will post a pic on this thread.
Cards recieved so far are from Sniisk, Evalila, Ibus, & she has recieved more in the couple of days that i haven't seen her so i will be posting tomoro who's cards have arrived & will be leaving Rep points too.
I don't see my mum everyday but i will post as soon as i can when she recieves new cards.

thepozbabe... you don't need to give itraders for RAK's, or repay in any way. At least in my case. I'm just sending because I want to help cheer your mum. And btw, my cards have been dropped off at the post office and are on their way. :wubclub:

Just leave 'You Rock' messages for the RAKs. ITraders don't apply and you don't need to make anything. At least for me anyway ;)

She absolutely loves them all & is even thinking of having a go herself. She just doesn't think she can despite my attempts at bigging her up. Mum went to art college years ago but over the years she has lost all confidence in herself.
I am going to make her up a box of atc blanks, ribbon, collage stuff etc to start her off & hopefully she will have a go.

I would love to have some tips from her as to drawing skills - I have spent nearly 50years 'knowing' that I can't draw. I've just started having a go but shading still scares me - I have little idea where to start and when I do try some, I think it looks like a 5 year old did it.
I'm glad that she liked the cards and I hope that she is now well on the way to recovery - all the quicker to join us making cards.
