Just kind of throwing this out there, who might be interested in a paint-a-thon during one of the weekends in late June/early July? It would be for any kind of painting with maybe a little wiggle room for ink detailing and things like that. Anyone have interest/time?

Are we talking just paint, or could we paint stamped images? And would this be any kind of paint?

It would be for any kind of paint (acrylic, oil, watercolor, tempera etc) as long as it's "hand painted" (so no paint pens, watercolor pencil would be ok). I was trying to decide on painting stamped images XD I think as long as the main focus of the piece was the color and work you put into painting the stamped image, that would be perfect. A watercolor background with a stamped image over it wouldn't be ok.

For the sake of planning, I'm going to shoot for July 16-18th (Fri-Sun), smack in the middle of July.

What better time to try? I think an "A-thon" is great because you just practice all weekend! I promise if you paint I will trade with you!

Thank you for the offer...almost makes me want to go out and buy paints. I haven't tried painting for over 50 years and don't think I want to try yet....It didn't work then and I doubt it would now.....Just going to stick to my trusty rubber stamps.
I'll be watching though!

If i didn't have to much else going i might give it a shot, i'm still figuring things out though. ^-^

i don't like watercolors on my printer paper though, so maybe my other paints.. Would drawing something first on the paper/surface be fine same as stamping???

I don't do much free hand painting but I do watercolor stamped images so if you decide that is OK I'm always interested in an athon!

For this paint-a-thon watercoloring a stamped image is fine as long as you are actually coloring it in and not just stamping over some watercolor :) People might want to state if they are willing to trade for these as they post their pictures since I know it's not usually traditional with hand painted themes.

I know! I keep looking at your cards in Project 365 and want to trade but I don't have anything available.

If water color pencils are an "OK" medium, then I'm interested. ..this might be a time to try watercolors too

Evil Seedlet

Watercolor pencils are fine as long as you use them with water to make a painting! :D
