so ... now I got a week to practice...practice..practice..
HHC... water color texture ??? duck is needing imput here ya know...

08-06-2010, 02:19 AM
Ducky, here are the water color texture techniques I played with...

1) Starting with water color paper (I usually cut 9x12 sheet in half) spread water colors of your choice across the paper, covering entirely making sure it's fairly wet. Use cheap plastic sandwich wrap cut a bit larger than your paper, lay over the watercolor paint and scrunch until you get lots of "crinkles". Let dry and pull off plastic wrap and you have an interesting pattern. The cheap wrap makes the best "crinkles".

2) On water color paper, use a light colored crayon to make designs and marks then do a water color wash across the paper (a few coordinating colors works well). The crayon acts as a resist and the white of the paper shows your designs.

3) On water color paper, do a wash of your favorite color(s) and then while still wet, press bubble wrap onto the wet paint and leave it there until paint is dry, then peel off and cool design remains.

A busy weekend for me but I'll pop in when I can.:)

What has been decided and how does it work/ I am new...is it so obvious? I have so many stamps and am ready to get to it!!!

08-09-2010, 07:52 PM
The stampathon is Aug 13-15th. We make our art during that time, lafaver55. You can get your blanks ready for backs. A thread will be started usually the day before and a link should be put on this thread to it.
