IF I were to have a weekend Artist Retreat type thing here in Alberta in the new year, would you be interested in coming?

I have been contacting a few different Conference Centres, Inns, Hotels, and other similar places around Alberta and have been pricing things out. Please let me know if you'd be seriously interested in coming!!!

...and just so you know, I checked online and found that round-trip tickets from Ontario to Alberta are about $450 - $600 and that round-trip tickets from Vancouver to Alberta are about $250 - $300

AMERICANS, I was checking the same website and saw that round-trip tickets from Dallas, TX to Alberta are around $600, and round-trip tickets from New York to Alberta are HOLY CRAP around $350 - $400 (wth, so cheap!?), and from Lexington, KY are around $650 - $800, and from Minneapolis are about $550 - $600.

Thank you for invitation, but it is too far for me to attend. Cannot leave home for too long. The best I could do is to drive to the place max 6 hours from Spokane,WA.So, Portland will be the fatherst possible destination for me.

We spent 2 nights in BC recently and loved it. Visited alberta a long time ago to camp at Jasper. I would consider coming to something in Alberta. For a few more years we will have family in Washington.

Looks like Alberta is directly above Idaho/Montana. Is that correct? Which town? I am always up for a trip. It would depend upon the time of year for me. I also will be going to Portland for the 2012 AFA.

Looks beautiful and I would love to go to an art fest, but I don't think I could swing the airfare...

Yes, when you look on the map, it is right above, so close, just little over 13 hours to drive from Spokane, WA!:)

I haven't voted yet. I would LOVE to come to Alberta!!!! Not that far for me coming from NW Washington. However, I plan to be very involved in the 2012 Portland AFA gathering and have tentative plans to attend the AFA gathering in Texas and limited resources at current moment. So we'll see how it all shakes out.

I'll make sure to get a lottery ticket tomorrow and perhaps it won't be an issue. LOL!:D

There's a really like mountain resort out west of Red Deer, kind of near Nordegg, that is really gorgeous and has lots of room for us. We'd need to figure out busing or something for those coming in on airplanes.

There are a few other places I've been looking into as well.
It'll depend on numbers and whatnot.

If we get 20+ people who are seriously interested, I can start getting plans together.

Of course I would love to come, depending on the time of year! No airfare for me, but I live on a farm, so everything revolves around crops....

Loved BC when I visited and know I'd love Alberta. If I can save money I'd love to make it.
