I'm still here! Since my last post we have been hit (badly) by snow. I have had to retreat to stay with my aunt in Aberdeen so I could make it into uni and work. I hope to be back to normal next week (depending on the weather of course).

I have my ideas for lilbad's little Ireland, so I just need to get working on it.

I've been on a radial symmetry kick lately, sort of kaleidoscope type stuff, so I just went with it. there is a lot of diamond glaze accents that don't show in the scan too.

me too now! I've checked the tracking number online, which tells me that it has been passed to USPS, but worryingly the USPS site says it has no record of the item. (track code; LY581430275GB). I'll try chasing from this end.

I'm back in Maud, but not sure for how long. hoping to get out again this morning, but depends when they clear the track. I plan to work on lilbad's moley over the weekend and get it in the mail by due date next week.

Bright-Spark, I posted something 2 days later to the US that hasn't arrived and the tracking is giving the same message. I think it may have something to do with both the Christmas post and the changes to the US customs procedures since that printer explosive - according to eBay the customs are holding up everything.

So, those of us over here in Europe may find we keep having this problem.

Just catching up on the thread. I was a bit worried when I read that GMSS was going to use one of her own specially ordered moleys. Thank you so much for that thought.

My news is that I am stuck! I can't get out to get Lilbad's moley in the mail. I am hoping to be freed tomorrow, depending on exactly when the local farmer will come with his big tractor and snow plough to dig us out (again!), but it will have to be Monday before the PO will be open. I'll let you know when it does actually go, and provide the tracking number.

I can't even post a pic, since my laptop here doesnt have a card reader and isn't set up with photoshop etc.

Dropped KarenM's moley in the mail to Bright Spark this afternoon. Man the line at the PO was long! There was a group of young people trying to mail a suitcase full of stuff to Israel.... that was interesting to watch. I was trying to figure out exactly where they were from, I really couldn't tell if they were speaking Hebrew or not because every time they conferred they dropped their volume a bunch. They looked like typical twenty-somethings on the hippy side of style, torn up jeans, long hair on the guys, lots of long dangly jewelry on the girls. It was entertaining to say the least.

If I was working on the right side of my layout the left side of the moley would hang off the edge of the table. She would ever so delicately grab it with her teeth and start pulling away, trying to be sneaky, like I wouldn't notice that she was taking what I was holding!

And I don't mind bendy pages, it all adds to the character! Did you know that the reason most historic books made with parchment have heavy covers and often clasps is because otherwise the pages curl and bend in different weather conditions?

Tipulida, I'm so glad you like it! I have a whole vase of bits I collect at the end of summer - I change them around when they start to break up. Rose hips, seed pods, grasses, even twigs with leaves.

For the 2 moleys that were already sent onto her, As you have time / waiting for a moley, let's go ahead and create tip ins for Lilbad and Karen. That way, they can have spreads for their books, when they are located.

Because of the back log and missing moleys... and the overseas mailings. Let's just do our best to mail out around the 15th. If you can't get it out on that date. Just communicate and mail out the moley as quickly as possible.

Guys, or rather gals, I am so sorry for the distress caused by my going missing for such a long time.

Too much has happened in the last month or so which has completely blown me off course especially with this moley exchange.

I have three moleys in my hands. Lilbads came back to me because of a post problem, GMSS arrived safely from Gina-B, and I also have Karen M's (I think that's right). They will all go in the mail this week. The delay has been due snow disruption, emergencies and to my move, which did not go entirely to plan, and included the removal men packing said moleys into the storage crates. I only got access and retrieved them at the weekend.

I have no internet access and my email account was cancelled when I moved earlier in the month. My list of to-dos including letting you all know what is going on, is setting up new email account which I will give to Corrie to pass onto you all. I've just logged on to find 8 messages waiting for me here on site.

Again, sorry for the disruption to normal service, I am hoping I will be back on track in the next week or so.

In order to help us get back on track faster, what if I mail my tip-in to Penlowe right now? I'll cut it into 3 pieces, just like I usually do before I glue it in. Then Karen can skip me and mail directly to Penlowe, and Penlowe can glue mine and her's into the Lilbad's book. It should save us at least a week, and knowing how bad I am at making it to the post office maybe more.

So right now, 1Orange has Tipulida's moley and will be sending it to me around the 15th. Is that right? I'm so damned confused. :(

Yes, GMSS's moley went to Brightspark on or around Dec 15 (Can't remember exact date off-hand) - thats the one I was stressing about.

When BrightSpark last checked in (Feb 7) she said she had 3 moleys - Lilbad's, KarenM's, and GMSS's, and that they would go into the post that week.

So, has anyone had any of these yet? If not, that will explain it.
