http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/goodmorningstarshine/AsCloseAsYouCanGetToBaileysWithoutGettingYourEyesW et.jpg

My dimensions seem to be a bit off. I hope I can trim it down to atc size without losing the spirit of the piece.

Actually, I'm more of a mixed media artist. That isn't so much a painting of Baileys as a photo of Baileys as close as you can get without getting your lens wet.

I was thinking about this swap and I am wondering if Old Greg might like to get out of the swamp sometimes? We could have cards with Old Greg at the circus, Old Greg at a birthday party, Old Greg on the beach (do scaly man fish need sunscreen), Kinda like Where's Waldo, only way yuckier :)

Russell
04-12-2011, 10:31 AM
I would imagine Old Gregg gets around.

jazzie
04-12-2011, 12:05 PM
Old Gregg did get around - if you watch the HD/full version, Greggers is in his wedding gown on top of the van as the band is heading out of town...

Then in the live version, OG shows up on stage in a box after Howard ditched him - so there's no telling where he went or what he was up to in between...

CIndyjob
04-12-2011, 12:23 PM
Oh Jazzie, I never watched those parts! Now I know what I am gonna do tonight!

Russell
04-12-2011, 12:54 PM
If you watch the deleted scenes you get to meet more of the characters from the bar and see the one guy's wife with shells all over her as well.

jazzie
04-12-2011, 01:42 PM
Yeah, The Legend of Old Gregg is good - it gives more background of OG before he and Howard's meet-and-greet!

So, while I've had your nifty gifty finished for weeks, cinderpot...I finally started my Greggs. Though, I was working on them alongside Joe's Mike Judge swap (in the power-less dark times), so who knows what the hell these might look like *picturing Butthead in a pink tutu*.

Come to think of it, might actually make for better cards!

but on a serious note.....I only have 2 cards done and the deadline line is approaching.... my studio is a gigantic mess and I have a festival in 12 days plus a trip to Boston in there too!
I have to bow out of this one... I am being pulled creatively in too many directions and this swap requires full attention. It has been difficult for me to try and create something more awesome than the original "old greg" imagery.

My grandmother has lived in Florida for the last 31 years, the last several of them spent living with my uncle, who tried his best to take good care of her, I'm sure. One of my cousins popped in for a visit and reported that Grammy wasn't faring too well, however, and after that, the rest of the family swooped in and relocated her. She now lives in Greenville with another uncle - who also happens to be the brewmaster at the Lexington Avenue Brewery in Asheville. Don't know if that means anything to you or not, but I spent 15 minutes trying to find that information on Facebook just in case it might. :)

When I lived in WI, Mike (our postal dude) would PAY the over-due postage himself, and just leave a note in the mailbox to leave him the right change. Now that I'm faceless in CA, extra postage, marking envelopes AND hand-written requests for hand-canceling fall on deaf ears. I don't think Kevin (new postal dude) knows what "hand cancel" means. I'm dyslexic and have ADD and had to read this a few times to understand the way you wrote it and meant it to be read, but I swear to Buddha, I saw: I showed my mom the swap cards yesterday and then she showed me her "old gregg".

The disturbed look on my face was priceless!!!
