1-on-1 Shorthand "foreign text" pages

I purchased a shorthand text book at Goodwill. Here is a sample of the pages.

I am willing to swap 5 pages each to the first 10 sign ups who can provide me with some or all of the following. I will let you decide what is a fair amount for the trade. We are talking normal postage rates for my send. If you tape short lengths of ribbon or fibers to a paper and the envie is flat, your rates should be the same. I will be sending the pages flat in a 5 3/4" x 8 3/4" envie...no creases and still the standard rate.


6" or longer of sparkly brocade ribbons, approx 1/2" - 1" wide
Hairy yarn-like fibers (but not just plain yarn. I have tons of that).
Stamped images of faces to use for Zetti ATC art, black ink on white, cream or peach paper, please.
Heart charms, star charms, flat gem stones
4" x 8" unusual textured background paper, something special in a foiling or scupture look.


If you wish to offer me something else, I will be glad to consider if I need it. Wanting more than five sheets? We can work out a fair trade, too. I will make sure and send pages that have full spreads like I have shown here...shorthand on all the page at least one sided. There is very little actual text in this book, as it is more of a workbook/study guide. Thanks for your interest!

Still I have some of the stuff you need! The yarn in blue and raspberry (sort of) shades & black, blue, pink hairy(ish) yarn with glitter in it. Also a face stamp (but just one..Can stamp that multiple times) Maybe some of that brocade ribbons, although I'm not quite sure what you mean.. haha
So.. Let me know if you like some of that stuff?

I can send you some lavendar and gold brocade ribbon and some 'hairy' yarn-like fiber with beads attached to it. It's black in color and the beads are a smokey color. It has lots of little hairs hanging off it! I also have some really pretty gold ribbon that is 'kinda' brocade, but it's all one color and also some burgundy colored lace ribbon with glitter snowflake-looking design. Let me know if you're interested.

Hey peeps. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I have sent PMs to all of you. I didn't know I had to subscribe to threads I start. Normally my posts automatically subscribe, but I guess the thread start post doesn't. I had to hunt up another one I started earlier, too. Just by chance I checked new posts today, as I sometimes do, and caught it from Sue W's response here. I will put your packets together and get them mailed out as quick as I get your addys. (I have M A N U Zs').

So...5 more packets to go. I promise my response will be quicker for the next sign-ups as it will pop onto my subscribed threads now.

I don't have anything to swap with you right now, but I had fun trying to read the pages. It's been a loooooonnnnnng time since I used my shorthand and I'm very rusty but I did get that the writer is talking about credit and errors. I'm going to print out that page and try (for my own fun) to transcribe as much of it as I can.

Unfortunately there is no answer key, so I will have to take your word for it. I learned a bit of this stuff in 7th grade, as we had a very old fashioned business teacher. I don't remember any of it, though. Good luck to you. Glad you enjoyed them.

I got my first two goodie envies today from dmnh (I now have the addy and will mail on Monday) and Ibus. Thank you. Wonderful fibers and ribbons! You were both worried about the quantity, but I feel you made a fair trade. 5 pages from the book is not that much to part with. iTraders to follow this post.
