Okay... regrouping! A couple of other options were suggested for the weekend, so it appears something will be going on. Just perhaps not an All Types of Art a-thon!

Looking forward to it!

Should it be an All types with optionial challenge days? Thinking out loud.

I'm waiting to hear back from Robin. I don't want to presume and step on anyone's toes. I'm happy to postpone an ATART until later. We've had those of recent, and we haven't had a Found Poetry a-thon.

Optional challenge days for an ATART is always good! BTW. :)

Sounds like a plan - whatever we do it will be fun!

A perfect idea! Optional challenges is the way to go, less restrictive!

So here's a thought: what if we moved the ATART to Thursday June 2 through Sunday June 5. And RobbyGirl holds the Found Poetry a-thon the weekend of May 27 - 30.

Would you all be okay with that?

HHC
05-16-2011, 09:03 PM
Not that it is much of a decision, you'll all show up whenever anyway. LOL!

And optional themes each day is good. I'm sure we'll be totally addicted to Found Poetry so will need to do a day of that.

I'll play when I can. All Types of Art works great as ... I'm more into postage stamps at the moment ... LOL
Found poetry sometimes works and sometimes doesn't ... for me ... hope to try a bit of that too, but it is again a working weekend for me.

Yeah, what she said! And you can step on my toes anytime Helen cause you are just the Sweetest and I'm always happy when there's an a-thon. Got your message and a FPAT followed by an ATART sounds delicious! I'll get the FPAT starter thread up and running tomorrow. I had Carole add it to the calendar. :wubclub::wubclub:

Okay here's the Pre FPAT Thread (http://www.atcsforall.com/forum/showthread.php?p=993220#post993220) it's almost tomorrow. Actually I was still subscribed to the thread I did for last years Memorial Day Weekend FPAT so all I had to do was change the dates and repost..YAY!

You know, I was thinking it might be fun to run the ATART from Wednesday through Sunday... a long one, but that way folks who work weekends have a full day to play, not just nights when they get home. What do you all think about that?

05-22-2011, 11:15 AM
I'll work terrible long days on May 22-June1. I need to prepare now or I can't do it at all. I thought 60 backgrounds should be enough...

HHC
05-22-2011, 11:22 AM
I'm not sure it will be quite enough for you, however you'll probably have time to create a few extras when you're off. LOL! :D

Glad this has some week days. I think Saturday and Sunday I'm going to finally break down and move my art stuff upstairs, so I may lose those days. (Kind of dreading the chaos, but when it's done, I'll have an art studio with a door that closes. :) )

cynthiasillitoe - I tried that (most of my stuff is stored upstairs but there is no heating up there so, being Winter in Australia, it is amazing how much finds its way back downstairs again ) good luck with your move - you will find lots of 'treasures' that you have forgotten about

Maybe it's the bottles of beer that I have consumed ... but, I am laughing so hard! My studio is upstairs ... rather cold ... my living room - downstairs - looks like an art supply store threw up in it! :biglaugh:

Oh, I'm not going to promise that it will be all in one place, and it will take me years to get organized, but the goal is to get me, my table and chair, and the stuff I use most (which I will push off the table into boxes) moved in. Then I can spend the rest of my life organizing and sorting, and can close the door when household distractions are interrupting my creating. I will be such a happy little artist. At least that's my mantra. What I really need is a magic wand and/or for the art stuff to march itself upstairs ala Mary Poppins.

Cynthia, I despair of ever having an organized studio. I don't think it's in my nature. There are parts that are organized, and then there is the top of the art desk.... ;)

Well, and if it were too organized, I couldn't work on it. I was one of those kids who deliberately switched my crayons out of order.

Made a few backgrounds today. :)
