Hi Everybody! I want to play too ... but I am new to the whole "collage a thon" thing.

Are there any specific guidelines to follow other than the time frame? Do you also swap collaged inchies, or just ATCs during collage a thon?

I still have more than 7 hours to start time, but I will be gathering all my little scraps and crafty bits.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I'm excited! I missed the last one. I will start my cards tonight but I won't be able to scan them till late sunday or monday due to being out of town currently.

chaosatlanta, It is just ATCs but anything goes as long as it its collaged. See the link that goatgoddess posted at the top of page one. Here is the jist of it:

-start collage ATC making when it is 5:00 PM on your clock/time zone on Friday.
-upload the pictures of your cards and post them in this thread.
-if you see something you like, PM that person to see if it is available and invite them to view your collage items that are available.
-keep going until the close time of the 'thon' on the 16th-Sunday at 11:59PM your time. You can still swap after that, but that is the official stop time.

*check back often as things can go fairly fast. Hope this helps. If you have other questions, just post them here or you can PM me.;)

I got four done last night. I was trying out OY's cool idea of working on four cards at once (this thread (http://atcsforall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1448)), but I cut the pieces apart after stamping and then worked on each one individually. So they didn't turn out with the same theme like hers did. I want to have another go at it today.

My cards are all waiting glue, so I don't have anything to offer just yet. Laid out a bunch and put them aside.... Got a new working method in these situations. I get all the bits all worked out, snap a digital photo, and pop the bits into a ziploc bag with a note as to the order of glue, etc. It's working great!!

BTW, everyone's work looks wonderful. Can't wait to get to the trading part.

Here are my first three collages - I'll be creating and posting more this weekend as time permits. Titles are, from left to right: "Symbolic," "Subject to Conditions," and "Modest Bovine." All are collaged using found and prepared papers (acrylic paints) and some have embossed stamping on them. "Subject to Conditions" uses a sanded magazine image as a background.

Looking forward to seeing more work from others!

Shirl - how did you do him? printed papers? he is fab!

His body is magazine cutouts of random colors I thought that would like neat as the body parts and the fins are butterfly wings...then used prisma colored pencil, gel pen and micron pen for shading and details.

FYI, for those of you using Flickr, if you want to post your pictures to a thread, here's how:

Go to the Flickr page that has the picture you want to post (just the one picture, not your photostream of all the pictures). Click "all sizes" just above it. Look at the different sizes and pick which one you want (I usually pick small or medium). Once you've settled on the size you want, scroll down to the box that says "Grab the photo's URL." Highlight the url in the box, and select copy.

THEN head over to ATCsforAll, and start the message you want to post the picture in. To insert the picture, type paste the url, then type

At last, and finally...here are my CAT cards for trade! I actually managed to get ten done; these eight are available: (adifferentstory, Bratgirl524, artsygemini, and goatgoddess, and have first dibs, as I've already asked for something from each of them) Beyond that, these are up for trade if anyone's interested...pm me?

Left to right, these are: 1.) winter blue (traded) 2.) lotus (traded) 3.) by the sea (traded) 4.) beautiful

The first one didn't scan well; the colors and textures are rather different...the background is more teal, the cross strip is hand-painted with some green in, and the print on the strip down the side is actually silver...(more info than anyone need/wants probably, but oh well...!)
