My own little puss in boots.

Oh, Lynne, May I play. I did love dressing up my dog when she was little, and cat faces so lend themselves to hats

12-10-2011, 01:41 PM
Welcome to the swap jennie. My kitty loves to be dressed up. I've bought him a little santa waistcoat for Christmas.

12-10-2011, 02:18 PM
My daughter's cat would have eaten my arm off if I even suggested some thing like that. He lived with us when my daughter moved back in. Then she moved back out and I had a cat. I really tried so hard to make him happy. He had a bedroom all to himself, his kitty litter box was cleaned twice daily, I bought him treats and yummy dinners and toys. He disliked me and he didn't ask for a puppy when we got Lucy. He did hang out with my other dog though. So he was allowed out for a few hours in the mornings. Then one day he didn't come back at all and I was all upset calling for him. Then my neighbor came over and said you have got to come see this. So I went 3 doors down and he had moved in with her and her 3 cats. Ungreatful feline. So I let her keep him he really was much happier. When they moved she came by and asked if she could move him too. She was such a sweet lady.

Oh, what a fun theme!!! Id love to play, please :D

I love getting a kitty cat name- Shelly. I think I am more like a Shy Kitty so shelly is!

12-11-2011, 12:21 AM
I'd like join in.

12-11-2011, 04:34 AM
Welcome to the swap Evelyn and Jewels.

Cats in general hate me. Steve more so but baggy is clearly in love with us both and we him LOL

12-11-2011, 05:36 AM
I'd love to join this one! Can I? Can I?

12-11-2011, 05:50 AM
You sure can.

12-17-2011, 04:29 PM
Anyone else like cats in clothes???

12-17-2011, 04:46 PM
I dress my dog Lucy. She has very thin short hair (and she is beautiful I may add). She gets shivering so I throw on a dress or t- shirt. My mom was over one day and asked why I was washing baby clothes. When I told her they were Lucy's clothes she looked at me like I had antenaes growing

12-17-2011, 05:00 PM
Over here it is getting more popular to dress your cats or dogs but I still get laughed at by some. My mum though has bought Baggy an argyle jumper for christmas. I've got him a santa waistcoat.

I love seeing cats in jumpers and such, but none of mine will allow them. Even my dog won't tolerate clothes!

12-18-2011, 06:39 AM
Lurking. Cute pic of hubbs and kitty.

12-18-2011, 07:18 AM
He's just too cute for words. That's my kitty not my hubby LOL

You have to start them off really early. I got Lucy at 4 1/2 weeks (she had already been spade) She was so weak when I got her and wore a size XS. Now the little heffer wears a large, because she has a big chest like a daschund. They are too long so I hem most. Otherwise they end up wet.

12-18-2011, 10:02 PM
I got my dog at 9 weeks and tried to clothe her from the start, but she wouldn't have anything to do with it. She'd just look at me with those big brown eyes and beg me to take the clothes off.

The cats? I prefer to keep my skin intact, thank you very much. Even though I got each of them between 7 and 9 weeks, none of them would wear anything. Hubs and I decided that the only kitties we would ever force clothing on would be a hairless or a sphinx. (Not that we're getting either one of those breeds!)

12-19-2011, 02:39 AM
Baggy doesn't mind clothes being put on, except the ones that go over the back legs too. He hates them, so I don't even try anymore. He never bothers about wearing them too. Never tried to get them off and quite happily struts around in them LOL

12-19-2011, 05:17 AM

I agree. If I wanted to dress up my furry boys I would have to wear an armor, I guess

12-19-2011, 06:53 AM
Well with the size on one of your cats Evelyn I think you are dealing with a panther LOL

12-19-2011, 08:24 PM
Evalila I went to your gallery and saw 3 cats. they are either very stretched out or they are really long. Pretty little ones thought

12-19-2011, 08:46 PM
My kitten seems to be very long. He's also got a very long tail. What was a runt of a litter certainly isn't now.

12-20-2011, 12:48 AM
Connor, the black one, is quite tall and weighs about 6 kilogrammes (13.23 lbs, I think). Barrsik, the grey one, is very small. Klarissa also was quite tall for a female cat. Sadly she already passed away a few years ago :(

12-20-2011, 03:06 PM
Well they are beautiful. It is so hard to loose our furry friends. A 13 pound cat is a really big cat. When I was a kid we had a huge cat named Taffy. The cat hated my dad. Well dad wasn't too fond of the cat either. The cat took a fancy to me. He was 22 when he passed away. I was long since married and had kids. I think he lived so long just to torture my dad. But he weighed 19 pounds and was an out/inside cat so he wasn't fat at all, just huge.

Cat's Cradle
12-20-2011, 06:53 PM
My boy cat is big. Every winter, he packs on at least 4-5 pounds, even though he's inside most of the time. Grayson just turned 4 and weighs about 14 pounds and is still putting some weight on. He stays outside most of the time, but comes inside to visit.

The girls, Peaches and Koko, are on the small side. Peaches is a year old and weighs less than 10 pounds. Koko is 4 months and weighs about 4 pounds. She may end up a larger cat than Peaches.

Lynne, I think I'll join up to swap now.

12-21-2011, 06:53 PM
Welcome to the swap Mel.

My kitty is growing up fast and eating us out of house and home. Ke has 3 sachets of kitten food a day with kitten crunchies in between plus a bit of cheese and ham if we have any. He's growing out of his clothes now. He needs a new wardrobe LOL I was worries about putting a christmas tree up so we bought a smaller real tree and only put plastic baubles on it. He had a sniff at it at first and I caught him batting one of the baubles around. I told him off and as far as I know he's not done it since. The tree is on a coffee table and he sleeps under it LOL

01-10-2012, 03:37 AM
Meowwwww!!!! Any kitty lovers out there that like to see cats dressed up?

01-12-2012, 11:55 AM

OMG they are amazing jewels. I do love all the cats you do.

02-23-2012, 06:47 AM
Jewels and sheila.draws wonderful atc's have arrived.

03-09-2012, 02:00 AM
I can't get out at the moment so I'll get my son to mail the returns on Saturday.

As this is such a small swap, you will each get one of your atc's back. I've put something extra in with your returns though.

03-09-2012, 06:09 PM
What a couple of weeks I've had. My new years resolution was to stop hoarding and get rid of anything I don't use anymore. Not including art supplies though lol. I've been sat on my bum for so long that it's numb beyond comprehension lol I've hardly made a dent in it though but I'm taking at least a week off as time creating art has suffered. The job really needs doing though and Steve is too busy at the moment. Any rest time I've had, has been taking up doing just that. Resting lol it will be nice getting back to art plus I have some binding of journals that needs to be done.

03-10-2012, 07:25 AM
The returns went postal this morning.

03-17-2012, 01:47 PM
My cards arrived a few days ago. A big Thank you to Jewels and sheala.draws - and of course to our lovely hostess. iTrader and Rep Points have been given :)

03-17-2012, 02:33 PM
Glad they arrived safe and sound.

03-18-2012, 11:21 AM
Awesome returns received! Thanks to our hostess!

03-18-2012, 04:55 PM
Great they have reached the USA.

03-31-2012, 11:22 PM
Wow. Thanks for the extra, Lynne. Thanks also to Sheala.draws and Evalia for the cards. Looks like there was bit of mix up on the address, which is probably why it took so long to get here. I'm off to give points.
