The copper inchies have gone postal on the 3rd June 2008!!

COPPER INCHIES

What else could possible come after silver and gold but copper! This will be a 9 for 9 swap.

Sign up by the 30th April 2008, inchies to be with me (I'm in the U.K. !) by the 30th May 2008.

Inchies are simply pieces of art 1" square. In this swap we are concentrating on making them COPPER and this swaps follows the red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, pink, black+white, brown, silver and gold inchies swap. Again all techniques are welcome. I just love all the variety this produces!Check out my blogsite http://friedaquilter.blogspot.com/ under the inchies label to see some inchies I've made.You should be able to just about put your username on the back of the inchies (write small!).

UK participants, please enclose a SSAE with the same postage as is required to mail to me. I would really like to insist on the addressed envelope!!

US participants, please enclose a self addressed envelope and LOOSE US postage to the same amount as it takes to mail to me (which I can use to participate in US based swaps).

Other nationalities, pleased enclose a self addressed envelope and I will cover your postage.

May I just stress the importance of the Self Addressed Envelope wherever you are mailing from. These are very large swaps and having to decifer addresses and writing envelopes adds just too much time to the mailing out. Easier for me to just stick them in your envelope! Thanks so much!

Please e-mail me for my address once your COPPER inchies are ready for the mail!I know life sometimes gets in the way and you simply have to withdraw. I don't mind at all, but please let me know as soon as possible should this happen.Any questions, let me know!

I've done them already! Had so much fun with them. They are in the flickr link in my siggy! They look a bit red from the scan, but they most def copper in colour, copper background with just a tad of red wax on them but the scanner seems to have favoured the red.

Frieda, I looked at your beautiful inchies on your blog and they are indeed wonderful. BUT they are ALL stitched. Is this a requirement or is it because you are a quilter and just love to stitch?

I'd love to join your copper inchies swap. Having no previous experience with inchies (except the ATC inchies swap) I don't know the rules for inchies other than size. Can you share the rules with me?

Hi Patti, I'm just a stitchaholic but for these inchies swaps all techniques are welcome. I love all the variety this produces. So there are no rules, just the size requirement of art on 1" square. I'll add your name to our list.

Oh Frieda - tha vagaries of the inchie muse has struck my brain nodules and temporarily squished my creativity into a corner - on my desk are the remains of FOUR different attmpts at my copper lovelies - none of which are in any way satisfactory.:sad: It is therefore with regret that I withdraw from the swap as there is no way I can have another try until next week and I don't want to send ones I am not happy with.
