05-31-2012, 01:00 AM
So I'm not going to Portland.... But that doesnt mean I cant have some fun!!!

Are you left at home too? Then join me in the:

Luxury & Spoiling Athon 2012

where we will create with luxurious images and/or luxurious materials and do our best to spoil eachother on a level that will make us forget all about Por...Port... What was it again?! ;)

The event will take place June 13-17 2012. There is no registration fee and no need to spend money on anything but yourself and your partners:laugh:

I'm hosting an APC-a-thon at the same time... It's already in the a-thon calendar and I posted it also in the previous ATART thread.

05-31-2012, 11:56 AM
Oh... I didnt see that... Sorry. And I dont do APC's...

06-01-2012, 01:47 AM
just never mind then

06-01-2012, 06:19 AM
Just have your a-thon and we'll move the APC-a-thon. Just next time it could be useful to go throught the calendar od a-thons and see if there is a free weekend or if it's already taken. I've asked Carole to cancel the APC-a-thon.

06-01-2012, 09:06 AM
I had looked at the calendar - but didnt see the entry.

06-01-2012, 02:56 PM
I would play! :)

06-02-2012, 01:13 AM
Snisk has been very kind and is moving her APC-athon to a later date. And I will remember that the athon-calendar isnt chronological, so I dont miss entries another time...

So - do we have players? And are there anyone who would like to co-host? I'll cover Europe:)

Also the theme doesnt have to be luxury; suggest away:)

06-02-2012, 02:36 AM
You can also check who has taken part in the earlier a-thon (and is not going to Portland) and send some "invitations" and ask them to play with you. I usually do it just because then people do not miss the a-thon.

06-02-2012, 12:10 PM
We have extended family coming to visit that week-end. I'm afraid I probably wont be able to play but I will try to lurk. ;)

06-02-2012, 12:26 PM
You will be in my heart at PDX! Wish everyone could make it to the event! Maybe next year!

06-02-2012, 02:01 PM
I want to clone myself and be both places. :) Have fun! Oh, and Sniisk, let me know if you reschedule the apc-athon. I'm always down for one of those!

06-02-2012, 03:17 PM
I'll play. ;)

06-02-2012, 04:02 PM
I'll play! Sounds like fun. I was also going to play in the APC a thon, sniisk - so be sure and tell us when it is.

06-03-2012, 01:13 AM
I'll play! But I'll still be jealous of the Oregon blitzers! And maybe it will be so wild and crazy that we'll forget all about them! hee hee hee

06-03-2012, 01:38 AM
That's the general idea, Helene;)

06-03-2012, 02:34 AM
after being there last year and really wanting to be there this year...i was hoping we'd have something fun going on for the unlucky ones still at home. hoping to be able to play. havent even thought past my daughter's graduation today.

Sanna, please let me know when you reschedule the APC-a-thon.

06-03-2012, 02:47 AM
Congrats on the daughter:)

And I am contemplating a way to give out prizes;)

06-03-2012, 03:02 AM
we did one...may have been an AFA weekend thing too...and there was a contest. a list of 100 things to accomplish over the weekend...some big...most small...but it was a lot of fun. i think i still have the list somewhere if you are interested.

and thanks! we are so proud of her!

06-03-2012, 03:47 AM
That sounds like fun - yes please:)

06-04-2012, 09:07 AM
Just signing up so I don't miss out. I'll be hosting the Inchie athon during the previous weekend (June 8-11), 1 day to sort my mail out and then into this athon.

06-04-2012, 12:12 PM
Perhaps you shouldnt close the envelopes; in case you swap with the same people in this athon;)

06-05-2012, 08:59 AM
lurking for now. I have never done an athon before.

06-11-2012, 11:51 AM
Is this starting on Wednesday? Is there going to be an official thread and instructions?

06-11-2012, 11:52 AM
I will start an official thread tomorrow:)

06-11-2012, 11:54 AM
Great! And because you are in Europe, you'll start it early enough :). Sometimes timezones confuse people and a-thons can be delayed. It is not what we want, we want to play from the beginning to the end :twitcy:. My supplies are ready!

06-11-2012, 12:09 PM
lurking for now. I have never done an athon before.

I've only done 3 since I joined. They are loads of fun. Note that for me, it takes all the stamina I can muster, and I triple-shot my organization skills! I usually get more 'greedy' than 'productive', but I do love them...I just need time to recover...which I am NOT getting this time= just finished the Inchie-a-thon and I'm going straight into this one! ...Espresso please!!!

06-11-2012, 10:55 PM
I'll play as much as I can! Is this going to be an ATART (All types of artathon)?

06-11-2012, 10:57 PM
Helene, I am organzationally challenged, too, so athons pose a problem for me. What I did last time - and forgot to do this time - was have a stack of envelopes handy so that I could slip the art into an envy instantly and pencil the correct name on the outside for later addressing.... I forgot this time and am sweating bullets, lol, hoping I didn't forget anyone but I have my box of envelopes beside my art corner so I'll be better prepared this weekend! ;)

06-12-2012, 01:39 AM
I am just putting the official athon thread together and will be posting shortly:)

Anyone who wants to co-host? I am in Europe and will be online about 14 hours a day (off/on).

06-12-2012, 02:30 AM
Here is the official athon thread:

06-14-2012, 02:23 PM
I've never attended an a-thon before. I guess I'll lurk a little bit!

06-16-2012, 05:39 AM
rapa - if you want to lurk you will need to click on the link in Moosecastle's post above yours (this is not the actual thread, just one asking if people were interested in the real thing)
