How better to celebrate the one year anniversary of my near-miss than to have an Art & ATCer slumber party!!

WHAT: The Cat's Pajama Party 2008: A 24 hour art-a-thon and gab fest!!

WHERE: Crazycat's home in Carmel, Indiana, 46033

WHO: Anyone willing to walk/drive/fly/teleport to Crazycat's house

WHEN: At this time, the tentative date is from 3 p.m Saturday, June 7 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June. Earlier/later arrivals and departures can be accomadated.

HOW: I was thinking everyone could contribute something for meals -- like a potluck -- and I'd provide beverages and cookies. Depending on the number of attendees, and unless you plan to stay in a nearby hotel, overnight accommodations will involve inflatable beds on the floor and sleeping bags. It is possible that before the actual date, I'll have located an alternative place (meaning, someplace other than my basement) that might offer better (i.e. more comfortable) accommodations.

So, who's in?

I am 100% in! I will bring some really good food - how about crepes? I make some really good ham/cheese and spinach/cheese crepes baked in the oven.

Thanks so much for the invite crazycat! I'm actually from indy and my grandparents still live in plainfield. unfortunately we have a family reunion going on that month and I can't afford two trips over in the same month. :( Y'all have lots of fun! And maybe if you have one next year I can get in on it. A get-together with ATCers would be great! All we have around here are scrapbooker get-togethers, and since I don't scrapbook i get plenty of wierd looks working on my ATCs while i'm there. LOL

just teasing, they have new homes to go to May 10 - they are going to be show goats - little brats got to running around and nearly knocked my feet out from under me. YAY! it's official, big inkadinkado has permission from her mommy. lol. now all i have to do is request it off tomorrow at work. i'm UBER excited that i get to meet crazycat, and katiev, and adriayna! now i don't have to be jealous of the other sleepovers! PS: i've never used the word uber in all of my life, so this shows just how excited i am, lol. and yes, what should we bring? i have a bottle of arbor mist and orange smirnoff, lol. oh yeah, and i'm DEFINITELY bringing my camera!

I am so disappointed! I was hoping to work it out, but oncologist says DH has to start chemo the week before the gathering, so that will mean I need to be here. He is doing well and they feel they got all the cancer out, but this is procedure to insure. SO , our summer has changed direction. BUT DH is here and I love that!!!
and have faith that all will be well.....eventually!!

Ladies....I have really bad news. yesterday I was feeling so much better that I thought I would be able to come for certain. But today I am sick again--my stomach is acting up really bad again and I can't leave the vicinity of the bathroom. So unless I radically improve over the next few hours, I won't be coming down :(. I'm really really REALLY upset and sad about it, but with me sick with this stupid salmonella poisoning, I'm not going to be any fun.

Judi will be stopping by my house though to pick up some gifts I made for eveyone and a special "thank you" for cathy gift.
