Oh My Gosh I just couldn't resist doing this swap when I thought of the theme!!!
On April 25 1998, Sue Ellen Cooper and four friends dressed in Purple Outfits and Red Hats and went out tea together. It was so much fun that they dubbed themselves the "Red Hat Society". That was the begining ... for more informatin on Red Hat Society www.redhatsociety.com
THEME: Think Red and Purple, beads, lace, feathers, and ladies having lots fun!
Red Hat Ladies Swap Artwork: Each 4"x4" page should be decorated on the front and the back. Your major effort should be made on the front, and your artist information will go on the back include UserID, real name, and the city, state and country where you live (it's fun to see where they came from) -- but you can include other information too, as you like. Please decorate your backs too, but it's not necessary to make them as detailed or elaborate as the front -- just don't leave them plain!! No copies -- all pages must be original (but may be similar!).
Base & Embellishments: Please use a sturdy base for your pages -- cardboard from food boxes, mat or illustration board, or several layers of thick cardstock would be ideal. You want the page to stand up by itself without bending. Feel free to use any embellishments you choose -- fibers, chunky bits, beads, whatever! But please do not put any embellishments on the left edge, and use surface embellishments no more than 1/8 of an inch (.3 cm) thick.
Shipping: Please include a large label with your address on it. DO NOT INCLUDE A SASE. I will provide appropriate envelopes for all returns.
Return Postage: ALL participants must pay $2.50 USD for their own return postage.
US participants, please enclose stamps (preferred) or well concealed cash.
International participants, please enclose US stamps or well concealed US cash -- or international postal coupons. If none of the international options work for you, please PM me and we can try to work something else out.
Lets have fun with this feel free to ask if you have questions!
