OFFICIAL SEARTLE REGISTRATION INFO IS HERE: http://www.atcsforall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27507

SeARTle 2014 is coming your way! ***DATES ARE CONFIRMED*** April 25 - 27, 2014.

Hotel details to be listed very shortly!

Since our Martha/mrubyjean has moved to the East Coast, we've decided that this year we'll be nearer the airport where we can get lower room rates and a larger art room.

I'm hoping for the last weekend of April 25th - 27th, before the rates go up for the summer. That also gives us a better chance at good weather for potential sight seeing trips in the area.

Fabulous, vikinglady. I'll stay in touch.

We're having a small gathering in Bellingham on Oct 18-20, if you're able to pop over. :)

It is always nice to have something to look forward to after the Christmas hype is all over! I'm unfortunately out of town for the Bellingham meet. I would have loved to come to that one! Haven't been to Bellingham for years but use to love to shop there:)

Just a smidge...Edmonds. Louise sent me a message about Bellingham. I'm going to try to make that too!

I'm out. :( My son and I were in a car accident last night and the car was totaled. Fortunately we are both fine but we are a one car family (with 3 busy kids!) for the time being so a jaunt north won't work out. Darn!

Oh my gosh, Julie! How scary for you! I'm so glad that neither of you were hurt.

Well, we don't have a contact yet... but next week we're looking at a hotel down near the airport with very good rates and decent facilities. It's definitely not deluxe, but nice and includes a deluxe breakfast and a large room we can have 24 hours (if we can stay awake).
Downside is, we'll have to make a charge to cover the meeting room. The rate goes down with the number of rooms rented. Definitely need to get over 10 rooms, though! :)

No worries, HHC! It's really rare to get the meeting rooms for free at hotels. I don't mind paying a fee to cover the room, and if it will keep anyone from being able to come, I'd be willing to kick in extra :-)

Sounds good. I don't mind a cover charge, either, especially if it means we can leave stuff set up in the art room for the next day, etc.

it all sounds very reasonable to me.

So... the hotel is going to work! We have a lovely fairly large room with windows overlooking the courtyard area and indoor pool (and hot tub). Two restrooms within the meeting room. Breakfast is included. Onsite restaurant open for breakfast and dinner with alcohol available! One block from Safeway and another half block to Bartel Drugs. Shuttle to and from airport, to the light rail. Another shuttle that runs to Southcenter and local areas.

And, room rates are $79 a night for king or doubles, 2 to a room. $5 for each additional up to 4 per room. Plus taxes. Breakfast included in room rate.

Cost of meeting room with 10 guest rooms (we should get that easily, right?) is $200.00 a day.

Registration fee (to cover meeting room and misc costs) is being figured out, and how to handle all that the easiest for everyone.

More very soon!

I certainly don't mind helping with the extra charge of the meeting room also! It would be great to have this room open around the clock for those who get creative at different times of the day! A question - what do you all like to bring for trading? Do you plan to have some workshops going?

OH, I should have gone to the second page of this thread! Yay! You have a hotel lined up :jiggy: I look forward to hearing more about this upcoming AFA meet. Meanwhile, I will do you all a favour by booking a single room for myself. Fact is, I snore at night and don't wish to make any of you suffer through that

Glad you're coming, vikinglady! Bring whatever you like to trade or just come to hang out. (I'll probably have trading cards and altered playing cards.) Usually SeArttle is kind of informal. Last year, I know Pamitha did a couple of demos, but not scheduled classes. But there's also a lot of "how did you do this?" and trading ideas. And a fair amount of talking and laughing!

Okay! I have the official SeARTle Thread up... I'll be closing this thread shortly, and will pm everyone to notify.
