If you think 3 heads are better than one when it comes to making ATCs this is the place for you.

We are a fun group of ATC makers who like to spread the making of ATCs around to more than one person.

Here is how to get started……………..

First you sign up in the thread and tell us what themes you do not want so I can add your name to the list in the 1st post.

Next you PM your mailing address and any dislikes to me so I can add it to the address list. I will update this list as players come and go or change their status.

If you wish to take a break from playing at any time all you need to do is post in the thread and send me a pm. I will move you to the HOMERS ONLY section of the address list until you ask me to change it. This way you will still get any you have started that have been completed by others but you should not get any new ones. If you do get new ones, please let me know in a pm.

And here is how a Round Robin works…………

Player 1 starts it off by starting 3 cards. These cards need to be more than a preprinted background. Please put something on them. On the back please put ATCS FOR ALL RANDOM ROUND ROBIN or AFA RANDOM RR at the top (so we know where it came from as there are 2 round robin groups) along with at least your user name. Mail all 3 cards to Player 2.

Player 2 will work on the cards. Add at least your user name to the back. Mail all 3 cards to Player 3.

Player 3 will finish the cards. Add at least your user name to the back. Keep 1 card and mail the other 2 back to Player 1.

Player 1 will keep 1 card and mail the other one to Player 2.

VERY IMPORTANT ~ Please remember to look at the most current list before sending cards to anyone to make sure they are still playing.

EQUALLY IMPORTANT ~ Please check what cards a player DOES NOT WANT. Do not send unwanted themes to anyone as they must pay to send them on to someone else .

If you get a set of cards and you have no idea what to do with them, just send them on to someone else.

Feel free to post eye candy whenever you want. Part of the fun of being in a Round Robin is seeing who is doing what. You can post them when you get them before you add anything, after you have added something or when you get a completed set. If you don't have a scanner or are not sure how to post them it is ok. Posting is not a requirement to join and have fun. There are no Round Robin Police sent to visit if you don't!

And you never have to say who you are sending to unless you want to.

And last but not least…………

iTraders: They are fun to give and fun to get so please remember them. Once you have a completed card you can give them to both the other players. When giving them you are the trader.

We are a chatty bunch!

We hit 1000 posts 11-10 and I didn't even notice!

I hope everyone can find us.

I just realized I never gave iTraders for the homers I sent out earlier this week............:twitcy:

I swear I need a new brain.

I have given all I can with the 2 hour rule. Hope to remember to do the rest tonight!

Well, sweetie, that's the reason the CRRR threads are numbered... ;) :jiggy:

I actually don't even know why we do this, to be honest, only that we do it. ;)
Can you explain the reason, xstitcher? I'm just curious... :)

Also, I got letters! :jiggy:

One from Mace with a great starter set (mom and I were so hoping someone would do something with the postcards! ) and a set to finish that my mom started - love your addition to it, Mace! <3

And the other one is from my favourite vampiress out there, and apart from swap and trade cards there were also two awesome homers (both are me, Pixi and v_rose) in there! :jiggy: Love the Halloweenish twist you girls gave the skyline set, and the letter one is awesome as well!

And I almost forgot: We got a big fat letter from Sarnie! We already split the cards but the ones for me were 3 different wonderful homers! Woohoo!

To our next 1,000 posts! I have sets headed to prayer_at_night and vampiress. I'm a bit under the weather, soI didn't take any time to scan completed cards.

I'm not sure why we stop at 1000.

When I took over from Chardonnay1965 I noticed Carole Cadek had closed one of her threads at 1000 posts and started a new one so I just kept it up.

To get it closed I report the 1st post and ask. Since no one ever said not to I figure there is a reason.

I think I will ask Carole and report back when I get an answer!

Hey Prayer, yeah I loved those postcards. I love all sorts of animal stuff and I collect Rhino's actually :P (not the real ones, they won't fit in my trailer) although I do have a mouse who I have been trying to humanely trap for over a week and now I think he's just funny. My dog won't even chase it and I don't want to kill it. LOL I have such a gentle heart.

I put a paper towel roll balanced on the counter with his snacks in the end of it and he managed to turn it around on the counter without it falling and got his treats out of it :P I am using cheerios. That is their favourite food not cheese! Did anyone know that? :) I wipe down the counters with chlorox wipes every day because I'm not sure what kind of diseases mice carry. Hopefully he'll go home if we get a warm spell.

Mace, I had two pet mice and a pet rat, lol. I am completely with you. I bet it would be quite a sight to see that little guy scampering around on your counters eating cereal. We always loved our little mice. They both died from old age and I was holding the last one when he passed....so sad :( then I had to give up my rat because my apartment wouldn't let me keep him. But you can have birds, how much sense does that make?

I have an answer regarding the 1000 posts~

Here is Carole's reply..............
Mary Ann, what I was told, is that when a thread has a 1000 posts or more, it's a strain on the server every time the thread is clicked on and opened to be read.
:)

So I will try and do better about stopping at 1000 next time.

Hi- checking in. We hit a thou pretty fast didn't we?

By the way, since I had cards piling up for awhile while I was sick I sent on some sets to others to work on. Didn't want to hold them up. I also got about 7 sets worked on myself yesterday so they'll all be back in circulation this week. Woo-hoo! So nice to feel healthy again!

It's funny, I was thinking the other day that we were getting near the 1000 mark, and then totally forgot about it...

I have a big pile o' cards waiting for me to work on - hoping to have some time this weekend - the past few have been really busy, but this one looks a little less insane.

Gosh - found you !

I am now searching for three identical additions as I know you like identical cards.

Re MICE - I live on a Park which means I get loads of wild life even though I live in London.
For years I was invaded by mice every Autumn as it got colder. They were sweet little brown field mice not the usual grey house mice. My dogs totally ignored them except the Jack Russell but luckily she never caught one. My Border Collie was more scared of them than I was.
I tried at least four kinds of humane trap - and I never caught one.
They are very clever.
By putting away anything they could possibly eat I usually got rid of them eventually - but a few years ago I got simply over run and so I discovered the ultrasonic rodent repeller - you plug it in and it emits a really high sound which rodents hate (Dogs, cats and people cannot hear it) and the mice disappeared like magic.
I keep it plugged in all the time now and can actually have fruit in a bowl on the kitchen table once more.
Unfortunately if you have a pet rabbit or guinea pig you cannot use them.

My almost tame squirrel disappeared too which was sad, he used to regularly pop into the kitchen to see if I had anything tasty for him - the squirrels no longer come near the house but still hang around the garden eating the bird seed I put out !

So Mace when your little friend brings all his mates to see your kitchen get an ultrasonic rodent repeller !!!

I've no idea if I posted these already, but here are two sets we finished lately. :)

The fortune tellers are Hey Maggie, me and mom - they look really lovely with a golden shimmer and tiny rhinestones on the candelabra...

And the others are Sarnie, Pixi and me. When I got them, there were the background with all these love sayings and the butterfly, and there were the Vintage pharmacy bottles... so I combined the themes and went with Love Potions. ;)

We both hope the other girls like what we did with the sets!

2 great looking sets there, Sarah!! Boy oh boy, did I hit the jackpot in yesterday's post!!! Here's the rundown of what came in my mailbox...............
A great patriotic set started by Sarnie, and worked on by Elena; a cute little "Things I Love" set started by HeyMaggie, and worked on by katieaaron; a really interesting starter set from Robin Walters; and a requested set of a cityscape with a lady started by CastleQueen and worked on by StoneFX. WOWWEEEEE, what a haul!!!!!!!!!!! :jiggy:

Some great looking cards being posted!

I have discovered a small fixable problem.

I seemed to have lost big to studio! I was moving her to homers only but I can't find her anywhere.

If someone could pm me her total entry on the list so I can put her back and send an update I would be forever grateful!

This 2 list thing is making me a bit nuts until I get a routine down to making changes. I think I deleted the wrong list once I moved her.

I wish I could put it all on one list again. Going to play around with it and see what I can do.

Might try removing all the stuff that makes us able to click on the name and go to the profile page from the list as you can do it from page one of the thread.

Does anyone see a reason I should not do that?

And can anyone else think of anything else that might allow us all to be on the same list?

Ideas are asked for and appreciated!

Xstitcher, as far as one list. I don't know if it allows you more characters or not, but you don't have to double space all the info. It could all be singe spaced. Would that change anything? Also, the likes and dislikes could be a separate list or actually on the first post of the thread by the names there since dislikes aren't really private things. That would free up some space.

BekaH
11-18-2014, 10:42 PM
These are sooo adorable.

These were started by Mace and worked on by Pixi and then me. I think Mace did the backgrounds and bears, Pixi added the stockings, and I added the houses, snow, and borders.

xstitcher
11-18-2014, 11:42 PM
Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for big toe studio’s information.

I managed to get it back to 1 list.

I found a way to remove lots of characters:

I changed Dislike to No

condensed some of the dislikes so check yours

and

cleaned up the addresses

Kentuckydakota spaces don’t make any difference, just characters.

I would rather not take the dislikes away from the address list because from experience I know it is confusing when you have to jump between 2 lists to do something. I managed to loose big toe studio for goodness sake!

For now it will work and I hope we can add a name or two before I have to make any more changes.

As I posted earlier one thing that would free up lots of characters would be to get rid of the links to the profile pages. We have them on the 1st page of the thread for ease of iTraders and I can’t think of any other reason we need them on the address list.

If anyone else has a reason to keep them please tell us. Sometimes I don’t see the forest for the trees, if you know what I mean.

Sent the update and everyone but lafaver55 received it.

Back to having fun creating art everyone……………………

Hey, I just had an idea for an exchange that I haven't seen anything like on here before, and it was inspired by someone's scrabble tile project that is here on the forum, but I can't remember who............BTW, apologies that this is a teeeeeeeeeeeny bit off topic...:swoon:

What she did was to take nearly a whole board full of scrabble tiles and just paste one interesting picture on each one....all sorts of topics from Charlie Chaplin to the Starbuck's Coffee logo. They looked SO interesting and compelling all arranged together that I set out to do something like that myself. My idea for the group is to do one of those big box exchanges like is going on with the 90 card box that is currently circling the globe to be added to and taken from at each stop. I thought with something like that someone could do magnets, pendants, or just have a cool little collection of doo-dads to play with when you feel like it. You could use them as tiles around a picture frame, or on a trinket box, or anything that needed a little jujjing up!!

Again, please forgive the BLATANT off topicness, promise I won't make a habit of it, I just wanted to get some fb on this from a big group of COOL gals, and what better place for that than this?????????????????????? :D Anyone who wants to chime in can pm me if they like.
thanks OODLES!!!
Della :)

Della :)

I think this would be a lot of fun if the one who began it made all the tiles in the set then had a second blank set that could be worked on by other players who couldn't/ didn't want to buy some of their own to do. Then everyone takes a couple and leaves some and it just goes on forever. I feel like that would be too much fun. :D

mrubyjean love the 'open up' cards !

Della the scrabble idea sounds very interesting - just one thing can you buy the tiles without buying the whole game ?
I just checked on Amazon and you can - quite cheaply in either plastic or wood !
100 tiles cost around $11.
Obviously they have been used in craft projects quite a lot, they mention scrapbooking where presumably they are used for titles - I have used card representations of scrabble on scrapbook pages myself.

It could be a mail art swap couldn't it ?

Nice starters vampire x

Going through the list of names to find people to leave iTraders I noticed that several people say no clowns. In real life I have a really severe dislike of clowns - in fact they scare me to death - I can remember when this started; two clowns frightened me by coming too close at a very bad circus I was taken to as a small child.

However, I love images of clowns, especially vintage ones - one of my fave APCs produced by Elena features a clown.
A white faced italian clown dressed as a Pierrot is a stock character of pantomime and Commedia dell'Arte - do you mean you hate these sort of clowns too ?
I can understand not wanting x rated cards etc but why not clowns ?
... not that I am about to send off any starters with clowns I am just interested !

PS actually I think I did send off one set of starters with vintage clowns now I come to think of it - hope they didn't find their way to someone who hates them.

Sarnie
11-22-2014, 02:25 AM
Just went through the dislikes again the funniest one is vampire_rose : 'No sports' !!!!!

Just 'no sports' - you can send Beka anything at all on the planet except sports - so all those Olympic, football, sailing, tennis cards better not find their way to Tennessee.
As visual images I really like sporting activity - not to take part in you understand !

I love you vampire_rose x

BekaH
11-22-2014, 02:59 AM
Lol sarnie, yes I just don't know enough about sports to really contribute to cards featuring them.... I don't watch them either.

Clowns, on the other hand, I love, and would be happy to work on any clown cards :-)

prayer_at_night
11-22-2014, 06:49 AM
Well, I'm one of the "no clowns" peeps, and I just dislike clowns, a lot, in RL and in art. I'm not into circus themes, but the very worst things are clowns. I don't like them, I don't want them in my folders.
So, since we were all allowed to say what we dislike, I said, no clowns please. :duck:

No problems with either X-rated or sports cards, though! ;)

BekaH
11-22-2014, 08:05 AM
Oh, just noticed, sailing.....I don't really consider that a sport, I love ocean and nautical themed cards, just to be more specific. :-)

And Sarah, nothing to be ashamed of, a lot of people are afraid of clowns or don't like them. And while I may not completely understand it, I respect it. I have a fear of traveling on freeways and interstates because of my anxiety. I avoid it at all costs. We each and all have our quirks :-) it's just part of who we are. We don't enjoy those fears, but we live with them. Ok, getting off my speech now, haha.

Found the thread again a few days ago. I am getting ready to send some cards out and got some Christmas back ground done to send to those that want holiday.

I am not a big fan of clowns but I do like the vintage ones. My kids hate any dress up things. No to Santa and the Easter bunny, very few pictures taken with them because the kids would just scream. Even as adults they walk away from them. I have no idea why.

Pixi
11-22-2014, 06:13 PM
I don't like clowns either...*shrugs* don't know why really either. I use to like them alright when i was little, but around my teen years i think it was, it all went bad. Go figure! Santa and Bunny...never had a problem with, but i don't like leprechaun's either...none! Yep...that is what i am talking about...

Day after day I looked at my User CP (Subscribed Threads) and there was nothing new about CRRR.... - NOW I know why :twitcy::twitcy::twitcy:

Ok, I finally found you girls and read 5 pages to catch up.:swoon:

Here are some wise words from this old german girl concerning the likes/dislikes discussion : I try not to judge. I look at the list and respect and that's it! Spiders, clowns, christmas trees - what ever...;)

Sarnie
11-23-2014, 12:32 PM
Just to say I wasn't judging at all Karin - I just found it interesting and actually quite funny and would obviously respect anyone else's likes and dislikes !
Some are very understandable if they are against peoples beliefs for example.
I was just pointing out that things people dislike in real life can be visually decorative - like clowns, snakes, spiders etc etc.
Must be my very odd English sense of humour - take no notice !

By the way 'old german woman' - you are but a slip of a girl to me - I am guessing I am at least 20 years older than you !

Sarnie
11-23-2014, 12:44 PM
BTW in real life I am scared of frogs and toads - I hate the way they suddenly leap up without warning.
In St Lucia where we were on holiday the toads were as big as small dogs and appeared from nowhere when it rained. One afternoon I was stuck on the steps leading down to our villa for some considerable time because a toad was sitting on the bottom step and I didn't dare pass it or step over it.
My son-in-law and daughter stood at the bottom just laughing at me - but I notice neither of them tried to move it !

However I don't mind them on ATCs - they can't jump !

Hey everyone!

I have had someone ask if we could put likes on the list. Maybe things we collect or really want to work on.

I think we had it that way in the beginning. It could be done again.

Since we have everyone linked to their profile page on the 1st page here I can remove that from the list.

If one list got to big there could be a new list with only likes and not be broken up by active and homers so it would not need to be updated every time someone moved between the 2. And we could say something like it would only be updated once a month so everyone is not bombarded by lists.

Your thoughts are wanted. Please...................

Sarnie
11-30-2014, 11:10 PM
Allegrae and Kate - I absolutely love the polar bears x

Della no need to apologise to me - I chat on here too, as you may have noticed !

xstitcher I love the likes idea - Could it be just one posting about likes and undated every couple of months - with new people doing a post on the thread about their likes and dislikes ? It would mean initially everyone either posting on here or by PM to you with a short list of likes !
Sorry I am suggesting you do even more work - I volunteer to compile the list if you are too busy !

xstitcher
12-01-2014, 03:46 PM
Thanks for the offer but I can do it. I think it might get confusing if 2 people were working on the same list.

I think I can keep it to one list for a long time if I remove the link to the profiles from the list. They take up lots of characters.

After I posted the idea of adding likes I heard from a couple of people who like the idea so I decided to do it. Just like the dislikes you don't have to have anything.

If you want your likes added to the list please pm me or list them on the thread. You can include things you collect or just really like to see on cards.

Please keep in mind what you get will not be limited to what is on your like list. I for one will keep adding what makes me happy and makes a card fun. These are just suggestions to help everyone make a decision on who to send them on to.

Of course if you want to customize cards for each other that is great.

And as always if you get something you don't have an idea for you can send them on to someone else.

Unless we get a new player or someone wants to move from active to homers or homers to active I am going to wait till mid December to send a list with the likes. That will give everyone some time to think about it and get me the information.

Pixi
12-02-2014, 12:30 PM
xstitcher, could you put maybe a capitalized "H" by the Homers names when they go to that part of the LIst...keep the list together instead of two, but put the Homers at the bottom, with the "H"? Just a thought so that you could possibly keep links on board. :)

xstitcher
12-03-2014, 12:47 AM
If there comes a time when I have a separate like list I could do that, yes.

For now there will only be 1 list with everything on it. I am going to remove the link to the profile page that is on the list since that same link is on page 1. That should give us lots of room to grown.

I watched a couple episodes *cough*all about the 9th Doctor*cough* when I was lucky enough to find them on youtube - a few days later they were all deleted again. ;) Would have loved to grow up with it like UK kids seem to do... but they never showed the series here in Germany! No idea why, we love science fiction here...
I bet my parents and I would have loooooved Dr Who! We are big Trekkies and watch all kinds of cool series, so the Doctor would probably be a favourite of ours, too, if we could watch him.

We got a letter today from Linda Giese! :D
There were homers for me and mom, and a gorgeous set of starters. Thanks! :jiggy:

Also, since it happened twice this last week - PLEASE, when you mail something to me and/or mom, please put our last name on the envelopes! We live in a house with many flats, and even though it's fun to get a letter for "Sarah and Sarah's mom", the post lady doesn't know our first names (or nicknames), so it can happen that a letter is returned to you! That would be a pity. So please remember that! Thanks. <3

I agree Sarnie! I love the spontaneity of taking the card in any direction my muse dictates..plus I dread having to refer to the list again....I never know who I am going to mail them to, until I finish my part anyway. Maybe players could start their starters with their likes....I often do that!

MACE
12-07-2014, 12:30 AM
I watch them all on HULU prayer_at_night :) Don't know if you can watch that over there, but they have all the seasons starting with "Rose." and think they have the older stuff too. I started watching about a month ago and am now in season 3 :)

prayer_at_night
12-07-2014, 07:43 AM
I agree on the "likes" front - I won't list any because I love the spontaneity and randomness. :) As long as a card has none of my dislikes, I'll love it. :duck:

Mace, I just had a look, and hulu is only available in the US right now. They are trying to make it available worldwide, it says, but they have to work through legal problems first. I'm not sure that will work, though - streaming for free is pretty much totally illegal here. ;)
If I had the money for that, I could get maxdome or Netflix or something, they probably have the Doctor there... but I'm just a poor student, so there's no way. ;)

xstitcher

I want to make sure everyone understands something about the likes list.

It is only to give the players who want to take the extra time and try to add a favorite thing to your starter or send you something to work on that is your favorite thing a place to go to see what someone might like. This is a little quicker than looking at profile pages.

If you have a likes list that does not mean that is all you will get to work on.

I have a question for you Dr. Who fans. I started watching episode one, season one (Rose), and turned it off 10 minutes into it because I wasn't certain if there is excessive violence or gore or just lots of death. Is this a depressing show? It seems so intriguing, but I don't like seeing tons of death and sadness...

prayer_at_night
12-08-2014, 05:27 PM
ineedtocreate, Dr. Who is, in the essence, a show for the entire family - although small kids might be frightened by parts of it. There are very scary episodes that made me feel a bit paranoid, and there sure is violence (There are always aliens around to fight), but it's all rather funny, like... trashy Halloween. ;) Aliens bleeding green goo and the Doctor still having a smart joke to share while he is under fire... it's all very unrealistic and funny.
So, if it's realistic violence/blood/death that you would like to avoid, I think you can easily watch Dr. Who. But if your sensitive about all kinds of violence or fighting, you might want to avoid it.
(But really, I'd let my kids watch Dr. Who if I had any. ;) )

Sarnie
12-08-2014, 06:14 PM
Dr Who started years ago as a children's series - I used to hide behind the sofa then !
The Daleks were the most ridiculous aliens as they ran on wheels and couldn't go up stairs and the sets were made of cardboard.
The latest Doctors are very serious British Actors so it is much more adult - but still funny and clever. Too frightening for me though !

Hello all I have been a bit slow on getting my RR done. I still work a little every day even if it is to just think about them. Anyway I have been busy with a new grandbaby. He was born Nov 24 and he was 6lbs 9 oz. His name is Luke Edward. We live close enough that I can go over any time. Sarah enjoys the help. I have been putting together a little craft bag to take with me. Even if it is just making backgrounds. Life is so fun right now.

I just had to come back and talk about Dr. Who. My daughter Mary loves the show. I ordered the stamps from England for her birthday last year and she loved them. We have Dr Who calender on our wall right now. We watch it on Netflix and I have even started watching the originals. They have the 1963 shows and boy how lame. It is fun to wonder what little budget they must have had to work with compared to today's shows. I thought last seasons first show with the man eating snowflakes was a bit scary for me, very dark. I would not let young children watch that episode.

Right Pixi if you have two small dogs it is just a step away from making it three - try and adopt a poor little soul from your local animal shelter, lots make their way there after Christmas sadly !
Lots of chihuahuas these days as they are so popular - and yet people go on breeding them and selling them to irresponsible owners.
I spend all my designated charity money on supporting dogs homes and the Dogs Trust here in the UK and I also support one run by Bernie Berlin (who wrote a terrific book on ATCs oddly) in the USA. She rescues lots of dogs each month from high kill dog pounds - sorts out their medical problems, gets them spayed, socialises and trains them and finds them forever homes.
Hundreds of dogs are killed every day in the USA because no one wants them.

Lovely puppy BTW, very lucky to have found you x

Great envelope from Allegrae yesterday - the polar bear homers and two interesting starter sets !
I keep hoarding all sorts of papers and texts these days but I didn't expect the take away menu from my local fish and chip shop would be of any use really.
You see you never can tell !

Pixi
12-12-2014, 01:26 PM
Yes Ms. Sarnie, I totally agree. I didn't go to the dog shelter, because I had seen these in a advertisement and they were outside. I know there are perhaps some dogs that are made for outside...but this little girl wasn't. Plus it looked as though her mother had puppies before. I felt sorry for her. We definitely get ours fixed when they are old enough...I do not believe in breeding. Our Mini Dachshund is a pure bred but I had nothing to do with that since she was a gift also...But we had her fixed. Many people wanted to mate her with theirs, but she wasn't a baby machine to us...or a money one for that matter. To us, they are our "babies", and we treat them as such. Spoiled! lol

Sarnie
12-12-2014, 04:42 PM

Our 7 year old dog was rescued from a kill shelter as a puppy. The vet truly doesn't know what breeds make up her "pedigree," but she doesn't seem to be the lab-boxer mix that she was originally labeled - she's 26 lbs! There is great joy in taking in homeless pets.

For all the Dr. Who fans, you have made 2 more converts! My husband, who doesn't normally like sci-fi, is totally hooked on the series. As he says, "How can you resist farting aliens?"

Allegrae
12-13-2014, 09:58 PM
I have a rescue, as well. Got him from the shelter when he was about 3. They think he was used for breeding and then thrown out on the streets. Some people just suck, should be tied to a tree and hit with a stick. Just sayin'.

On a more festive note, this set is the work of kentuckydakota, deebishop and me:

Very cute Christmas set! :)

I don't know if I already posted about receiving any of these letters, but they were all scattered around my desk, so I thought I'd be extra-safe and acknowledge all of them. ^^°

We got letters from

-Martha / mrubyjean with the homer cards from the winter dancer set; so lovely in person, thanks a lot for working on them! :)

-Vicky O / vick302000 with a lovely Christmas starter set and a homer (from Kate/me/Vicky) - awesome!

-Nancy with a starter set, a set to finish, and one homer card for each of us (the one is the butterfly set from Nancy/me/Hana, the other is a dancer with hearts from Karin/Maggie/Nancy)... everything looks wonderful!

-and Allegrae, who sent two homer cards (Japanese set from me/Hana/Allegrae) and two cool starter sets - the Spiderman one is especially awesome! :D

Thanks, girls, for sending us all these wonderful letters! Mom and I have so much fun with RRs. :) Hugs!

I just have to share the joy of getting a cat from the shelter today....I have been there every other day for almost 3 weeks and just could not make a selection but today I got a 2 yr old.male that is beautiful. light orange body with grey spots and all four legs and tail are orangy with black stripes..I was tired when I got home so gave him a tour of the house and went and laid down in the bed to rest....he followed me and jumped on the bed and climbed up on my tummy and curled up and we both went to sleep. ,Now. that is quick bonding. He is going to be perfect for bringing some peace and tranquility in my life after dealing with the fire and moving!!

Received a Homer today that me, mrubyjean and heymaggie worked on...

Also received a set to finish that are just beautiful from that started with kattieaaron, worked on by heymaggie and now I will finish and get it sent back home.

Also, I would like to say...if your cards cost more then regular postage to send...be sure to take it to post office to make sure. I received some today and had to pay an extra $1.17 on an envelope that already cost the sender $1.15 to send. I usually don't have the extra, and try to plan my postal usage ahead of time so I make sure I have the right amount. If i have ever sent something that cost someone extra on the other end...please let me know. I would like to compensate you for that... :)

I usually take my envelope to the PO but sometimes I just can't get there when it is open. The PO I drive past closes every day at noon and is closed on Sat. If I'm not just sure I add an extra 21 or regular stamp. If you ever get a postage due from me send me a PM and I will send you what you had to pay extra. This is why I am now mostly doing flat RR. Don't get me wrong, I love the bling and the ribbon and flat backs but the BIG chunky stuff only occasionally. I have a big chunky one that is to go overseas but just have not pulled out the extra $$$ it is going to take to send it. And while we are on this topic of Big chunky stuff. If you are going to use chunky please put some extra padding in it. I just received a RR with an embellishment (Big chunky embellishment) that was broken. It had the right postage and even a piece of cardboard in the envelope but still got broken. It really needed some bubble wrap and yes it would have cost extra but it would not have been broken. Can't rely on the PO to take extra care of our mail this time of the year.

And while I am at it, thanks everyone who has sent me RR over the last couple of weeks. I am getting them out and hopefully all done by the new year. I have some days off this coming week and I can work on them. Hope all of you are having a wonderful holiday season.

Same here! I am trying to mostly send Flat ATC's from now on. As much as I love sending them with the chunky bling, it does cost more and I know on the other end when it arrives for others to send, it costs them also. I will occasionally be using them, but will send extra .21 cents for each when I do so the other person can send them without extra cost...

We got a lot of mail lately, but I haven't posted during the holiday stress... but now! :)

Mom got one from Vicky O with a set to finish and a homer - awesomely cute penguin! <3

She also received one from Pixi with a ridiculously cute bunny set to finish as well as three homer card (from two sets). <3

And she got a letter from CastleQueen with a wonderful sunflower homer card and a starter set. <3

Aaaand she got another one, this time from Della, with a pretty set to finish and two lovely homers. :3

And then we both got a letter from Sarnie that was totally stuffed with 6 different homers, two sets to finish and a starter set. Phew!

Thanks so much for all the RR mail! <3 <3 <3

We love the new sets ad will surely have a RR crafty day soon. :3

One last thing: If you ever have a preference who of us should work on a set you send, please say so somewhere! We put all the sets we receive on the same stack on my desk and then, when it's RR time, we spread them all on the table top and each pick the sets we feel inspired to work on. So there's no guarantee that mom will work on a set you sent her. ;)
You have been warned! :twitcy::wub:

So my cute and adorable little girl decided that she would sneak into my art studio today while I was cleaning brushes in the sink. Well she thought it would be a FABULOUS ideas to pour my coffee all over my studio table and play in it. I salvaged almost everything except for one starter CRR from CastleQueen. Obviously, looks are deceiving for my little darling. Now our art studio will smell like Pumpkin Spice Coffee for a week or so. I guess it could have been worse. But don't be surprised when you get a card back that smells like coffee. Just think, they not only look good but they smell good too. LoL.

So, CastleQueen, I'm so sorry that your starter set got ruined. It just couldn't be salvaged.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Woo hoo. An evening where the rest of the family went to the panto, and despite my head cold, I am now totally caught up on RR cards. Lots of stuff going in the post tomorrow (including some starters as well!). Just FYI, any finished sets which had sarnie as a second player (I think there were 3 - two started by allegrae, one by hey maggie, but I may have missed one), I have mailed her card directly to her rather than send it back to the US only to have someone send it back here - seemed more sensible that way.

And sweetgypsy, I have mailed your homer back to you, but sent castlequeen's (she was player 2) straight to her as I was mailing something else to her anyway, and it was no more expensive for me to include our card, too.

Here's some scans...

...to post iTraders BEFORE I put the cards in my binder! Spent this evening double-checking and catching up - and of course, there are some I can't post for another two hours. Will save those for tomorrow. So if you get a notification for a CRRR from eons ago, yep, that's me!

I have to keep mine in a little stack next to my computer until I've done the itraders - otherwise I'm doomed. Being me, I have a system:idea: - there's a place in my kitchen which is perfect for displaying ATCs - about 10 of them or so. So what I do is keep them by the computer until I've done the iTrader (or rep points, if they were from a swap) and then, after that, they move into the kitchen. They don't go into the binder until after they come down from the kitchen... As I said, I tend to be over-organised about these things, but I do find that leaving them in a stack next to the computer is perfect for making sure iTraders get done. Of course at the moment, I've got a stack which has both allegrae and sarnie in it multiple times, so some of those cards may be there for days!

WOW!! You guys certainly have been busy bees, despite all the Christmas and New Year's hoo hah!!! Impressive, to say the least! I have a HUGE stack of sets to work on, hoping no one is in a GREAT hurry to get stuff back, but will attempt a RR marathon in the next few days..........it's always fun to try and figure out JUST what is the right element or color or both to put with something that I didn't start myself............(sometimes harder than others, I admit! ) So, be on the lookout for an impressively large amount of sets coming up from me in the next few days..............or not...............:err::unsure:

Just another reminder everyone that I will be going home tomorrow instead of the 16th. So send all CRRR's there. :) Thanks!

I have a few that I need to work on, and will do so as soon as catch my breath and get a few things caught up from other swaps! ;)

I have to apologize. I just found a set of buddy cards and also a rr that HeyMaggie sent me and they've been sitting here awhile. :( The buddy cards are an orange floral and the rr is a butterfly/metallic design. If you would like either (or both) of these, please send me a PM with your address. Thanks!
