RAK for Maxime

Maxime is a girl (10 yrs) in my son's class. Two years ago the problems with her (right)foot started ... don't know in English but it's 'big'. In the beginning she hinked, crutches (??? English ???) followed, of course fysiotherapie, wheelchair ... this schoolyear she started to 'train' in a specialized revalidation center ... two days 'normal' school, three days 'training' ... since two weeks she's intern! She doesn't know how long she has to stay there, at least another five weeks. She's keeping up the spirit, one tough girl, but having a hard time! I've been talking with her relatively often ... about 'not-important issues' for healthy people as the wonderful swimmingpools in revalidation-centers, as the importance of having a matching colour of crutches and Crocs ... she's finally got her pink crutches matching her clothes! :D Okay, she's intern ... misses her class, etc. etc. ... I think you're all getting the picture. Promised her today to keep her informed about what's happening at school (the teacher 'forgot' ... she will be mine when the holidays have ended :yes:) ... by mail ... she loves to receive mail over there! So, just read about all these RAK's ... let's try for Maxime too! She loves ballet ... yep, life can be cruel ... and horse-riding!

Elizabeth, just tried to phone Maxime's mom but there's no-one home ... they are probably visiting her! So I mailed mom ... as soon as I know more ... I'll let you know!

And eh ... it's strange but often mail from the UK takes longer than mail from the USA to arrive her! Really don't know why ... strange ...

Maxime's mother told me her daughter received mail from several of you ... I told her to write down the names of the senders ... explained her again that it's a little difficult to thank 'someone from the U.S.A.'!:D I only know Green Glam's card arrived because mom told me Maxime received a 'Crocs'-card ... she loved it, being a Crocs-fan! I'll be patient as Maxime's mom is heaving a hard and busy time too with everything that's happening. As soon as she gives me more info, I'll let you know!

In general, everything's fine with Maxime ... she's making very small progress!

Wendy has asked for this thread to be closed. It appears that some of the atc's were stolen and Maximes mum signed up to the site so that she could email these members. If you have received one of these emails you do not if you so wish need to replace the ATC. If anyone knows what name Maxime's mum signed up under, could you please PM me?
