Materials required: One blank Japanese Moleskine accordion style pocket album. Approximate size is 3.5" x 5.5". Available at Amazon.com and at MoleskineUS here. http://www.moleskineus.com/japanesebook.html

AFA says you must:
•Be an actively trading AFA member (defined as: positive itrader across 2 swaps in the last 3 months)
•Have 3+ months in good standing (no neutrals or negative iTraders)
•Have an iTrader rating of 25+
•Be willing and able to do your very best work on a strict, inflexible time line, over a long period
•Be willing and able to complete three (3) journal pages in the themes chosen by each of your nine (9) fellow participants
•Have the cash resources necessary to ship ten (10) journals around the world using First Class mail with mandatory tracking

It is also mandatory that you share your mailing address, a phone number, and a contact person to the host. This is to be sure no journals go MIA - info will only be shared with your fellow Moley members only.

You're responsible for:
• Choosing and explaining your theme. Each artist will choose their own theme, color scheme/do and don’ts, and special instructions for their own moley’s. You may choose "No theme" if you want participants to "follow their muse."
• Creating a three (3) page spread in each journal you receive.
• Include at least your name, username, and date completed on the back of your spread.
• Shipping to the next artist participant. Use a well padded bubble envelope, sturdy box or a small Flat Rate Box.
• Paying for First Class mail and MANDATORY tracking/Delivery Confirmation (we want to keep an eye on these precious moleys).

Artist Instructions:
1. Decorate the covers, if you choose. This may be completed either before or after the journal travels through the rotation. Some prefer to decorate before, to establish theme, palette, and mood. Some prefer to decorate after, to prevent damage to cover art. You decide!

2. Please include: (1) Your real name and address; (2) your username; (3) your assigned "travel-plan"; (4) a sign-in area for artists; and (5) any special instructions; in the two opening pages of your book - which you should also decorate.

3. In addition to decorating your opening, informational pages, please create one, 3-page spread in your own Moleskine journal. Yet another opportunity to establish theme and give the other players an idea of what you are looking for.

4. Be sure to "fix" your art well, to prevent smudging. Allow plenty of time for drying before shipping. Wax paper between pages is a great idea.

5. Please communicate regularly via email, PM, or preferably, in this thread, whenever you have (1) received or (2) shipped a book. Include tracking numbers. We're all investing a huge amount of time, talent, and care in this project, and we want to see everyone's Moleskine journal home safely. Showing up in the thread at least twice a month is part of the deal. Let the other players know that you are still active!

6. In the past there have been issues with journals piling up with one player who is unable to keep up due to unforeseen circumstances. Please communicate to the group if you find yourself falling behind. There are several ways to work around that but we can't help if we don't know what's going on. Communication is essential!

7. Please be sure to mail these journals at the post office personally. There have been incidences in other groups of journals being placed in a player's personal roadside box for mailing and having it stolen.

8. Do remember that NO TIP INS are allowed and do not add bulky stuff to the moley to make sure that no damage occurs during travel.

9. Most important: Be creative, do your very best work, stretch yourself, and have a blast! Oh, and try to show your art in the thread - we all love to share in the fun!

Welcome ladies.... three more to sign in and one more player to find!!!
@Will - I assume nobody will have a problem with working in a regular (non accordion) styl moley.... ahum - but I seriously expected YOU of all people to have an ACCORDION album :v_spin:

8. Do remember that NO TIP INS are allowed and do not add bulky stuff to the moley to make sure that no damage occurs during travel.

Signing in :jiggy: (I've wanted to do this for years!)

I'm drawn towards a Follow your Muse theme, with some ideas of what I like.

I don't like Gothic, or other dark themes.

What are tip ins?

Will
05-04-2016, 11:44 AM
I rather play an accordion than draw on it:)

Gemininorn
05-04-2016, 12:53 PM
Will, would you like 3 separate pictures on 3 pages then? or 1 single page and 1 double page? This is my first time doing this, I hope it is not a silly question.

Nicky
05-04-2016, 01:02 PM
@IBUS - In this case TIP INs are pages of pieces of drawing that separate and thus can get lost of missing... (for instance by adding parts that can move separately).

Evalila
05-04-2016, 01:46 PM
Okay, here we go, my theme is: (By, in, under) the Sea: anything you can think of related to the sea, including fantasy stuff like merfolk.

Doīs: preferably handdrawn/painted, and dark and gothic is great ;)

Donīts: no overly cutesy stuff (a little bit is fine, though)

Ok, my theme is framed portraits of people or animals. Each page would be a separate framed portrait, so each artist would do three portraits. Portrait as in from the bust up or thereabout. Is my theme ok? Am I being too specific? Let me know and I'll adjust. :)

Since this is my first Moley, what is the protocol or shall I say unwritten rules, if any? :) You know like hostess card in swaps and similar.

Will
05-04-2016, 03:18 PM
Gemininorn: good you mentioned it. One double and one seperate would be my choice!

Nicky
05-04-2016, 05:08 PM
Rules are in the first post NatashaMay... we do not do special things for the host in this and just leave iTraders for the artists that have worked in your moley when you get your moley home safe....

Gemininorn
05-04-2016, 07:28 PM
Ok, I have finally been able to make up my mind.

Theme : Tree of Life

Please draw/paint any tree over the three page spread, can be in fruit, flowering (like cherry trees), in spring, whatever you feel is right. Place your tree in a nice scenery like a forest clearing, a windswept cliff, an orchard, etc. You could draw the tree from different perspectives (below, in the branches, endless possibilities) and please feel free to add animals if you want, it is a tree of life after all.

Do : Hand drawn, Hand painted, lots of colour is good, light mixed media ok

Don't : all collage, white background, bulky embellishments, dead things, naughty bits...

If your strength is definitely not drawing or painting let me know and we can figure something out

Ibus
05-04-2016, 07:41 PM
Don't forget the frame

Just to be absolutely clear. You say No Collage, but would you be happy with a frame that is made separately, and stuck in, or do you want the frame painted into the book?

NatashaMay
05-05-2016, 01:19 AM
Would like the frame to be painted or used mixed media. Thanks for asking, Inbus. :)

Welcome lady from Lincolnshire.... the mailing schedule is not final yet... we are still waiting for the last player, but let's assume that this will be the final mailing order.

When we start, you will send YOUR moley - on YOUR theme to Zandradee (after you have done the sign in pages and the first three pages of art in your theme). Zandradee will do 3 pages in your moley in theme YOU have asked for and when she is done, she will forward your moley to her partner, who will do another 3 pages in your moley in YOUR theme.

In the meantime you will receive a moley from Gemininorn (Ireland) every month and you will create 3 pages in these moleys in the themes the moley owner has asked for. The first moley you will receive will be the one from Gemininorn so you will do 3 pages with the theme "Tree of life"....

Hope this makes things a bit more clear? If not, do not hesitate to ask, okay?

redplantlady
05-05-2016, 12:06 PM
Oh I get it!!
As a don't, can I add no cute/whimsy please?
Thanks!! :)

Gemininorn
05-05-2016, 12:15 PM
redplantlady, have you any special wishes in regards to media we use? I use mostly inktense pencils (like watercolour), markers and pencils, sometimes acrylics. I hope that is ok

Gemininorn
05-05-2016, 12:16 PM
Just checked William Morris out. You are going to end up with an awesome moley!

redplantlady
05-05-2016, 01:54 PM
All that sounds great Geminorm; I love Inktense pencils and use them a lot. Yes I love William Morris and his cronies! Went to the Red House last year and saw the handpainted murals there :) Oh and I have just looked at your theme - Tree of Life will be great fun!

Nicky
05-05-2016, 05:30 PM
Alas - Marilou had to drop out... so now we are still looking for TWO players.
Still time left though....

Vantezy
05-06-2016, 01:56 AM
Hello Nicky thank you for the inviting I love to play sounds amazing to do this I like it because you have plenty of time to Make the drawings. Theme and do's and don't will follow.

Nicky
05-06-2016, 02:42 AM
WOW - welcome Vantezy... I will add you to the first post and make you an official member of this little team!

NatashaMay
05-06-2016, 04:36 AM
I have a question. Do you treat the 3 pages as a continuous work or as three different pieces, if the player doesn't specify?

Nicky
05-06-2016, 06:06 AM
That depends on what the moley owner wants, Natasha... I usually do a continous spread over the three pages but Will has a moley in a different style (not accordion) and for her you can do 2 pages and 1 or 3 separate pages. You ask for 3 separate pages yourself.

So ladies - if you have wishes along these lines (you want separate pages or an ongoing spread). Just mention it and I will put it in your DO section in the first post.

Gemininorn
05-06-2016, 07:00 AM
I have no preferences that way, I will be happy about a 3 page spread or single page trees. I am just happy that if all goes well I will have a moley full of goodness

Vantezy

Gemininorn
05-07-2016, 04:35 PM
My moley is due to arrive Monday the 16th...
I have made a sketch version of it though, with several sets of pages with the dimensions and folds of a 3page moley spread. That way I can start to plan and sketch out ideas, see how they work and then transfer the linework into the moleys easier.

LucyMc
05-08-2016, 04:45 PM
Oooo sounds fascinating! Count me in please.

I would like the theme to be ~ Bohemian ~ Gypsies ~

Any media - hand-drawn, hand-painted, collage, a mix of all

No nudes please!

Nicky
05-09-2016, 01:08 AM
Welcome LucyMC... this means that we are complete.

WILL YOU PLEASE ALL CONSIDER THE TIME AND COSTS INVOLVED IN A 10 MONTH LASTING MOLEY SWAP?
If you have any doubts - then now is the time to withdraw... Wednesday 11 May is the date that withdrawing is no longer an option. I will mail out a PM on Saturday 14 May for your details.

Cool!

Mine has arrived, too :D

Will
05-13-2016, 02:04 PM
I read the Artist instructions. It says that we have to write or name at the back of our pages. Than eveyone needs four pages ( three for the art and one for the name.) Is that how it has to be? It it not better to write name and date in the corner or the edge of the third page? Or do I understand it not well.
We do not draw pages in our own moley, isn't it?

Nicky
05-13-2016, 03:05 PM
Will - the accordeon moleys have a front and a backside... When you unfold it, it is actually one large page folded in 30 pages - you draw your art on the three pages on the front side and write your name (and other details we want to share - if any) on the back of the pages that you have decorated ... no extra pages are needed.
Since you have a different moley (not the accordeon style but the book style) it might be best to write name and date/month in the corner of the third page when working in YOUR moley.

And yes, we do draw in our own moley... the first two pages (in an accordeon moley) are sign-in pages (with a list with 10 spaces for every player to sign in their name (and the month they did their art - your own name will be first) and the next 3 pages are the first pages of the moley in theme - you will decorate them yourself to give the other players an idea of what we want with our theme.

You will see what I mean when the first accordeon moley arrives or when people post the sign-in pages and 3-spread art they did in their own moleys.

Nicky

Great ladies.... I hope to have a bit of time to work on my moley too.... Won't have to go back to work until Tuesday 24th of May but today my father in law was admitted to a home for demented elderly people so I expect a lot of time will be spend there as well....

Ibus

.

You will see what I mean when the first accordeon moley arrives or when people post the sign-in pages and 3-spread art they did in their own moleys.

Is it possible to post an example of the sign in page at all?

Nicky
05-13-2016, 04:09 PM
Sure thing.... here are my sign up pages for the Witches and Wizards moley that I am currently playing in #22 Moley swap... and here are Zandradee's sign up pages from that same moley swap

@ hope you don't mind me using them as an example Rebecca... they were too cute to pass by ;)

Just two examples.... you can do whatever you like.... do check out earlier moley swaps for ideas and examples too... they are in the same Forum section as we are (#23 and going back...). It's great fun to see what others did and it will give you some nice ideas of what is possible.

Thanks, I didn't think to look in the threads, I looked in the gallery, but could only find pages, not sign up sheets.

Now I know what's needed, I'll sort it out. I'm waiting for payday to get my moley, but in the meantime, working out what theme I want.

Here's my theme/style stuff.

Theme: Things that make you happy.

Do: can be three separate or one long spread (or any combination). open media, but I would encourage you to mix it up -- if you generally avoid mixed media in favour of only HD/HP, this would be a great place to experiment.

Don't: be obvious. please don't repeat something someone else had already done within the moley.

Gemininorn
05-15-2016, 07:09 PM
zandradee I think you have just managed to pick the most challenging theme for me so far  Coming out of my Hd/Hp comfort zone and maybe start to explore mixed media a bit. But my brain is already starting to work on ideas for you ;)

Nicky
05-16-2016, 02:12 AM
Same here Gemininorn... mixed media is not really my cup of tea but we'll see :(:twitcy:

NatashaMay
05-16-2016, 06:46 AM
I got my moleskine today. This is tiny. :err: I expected it to be bigger and I'd have more space to play. Yeah, I checked the size but I didn't think to actually see how big it would be in real life. Oh, well. I guess I'll have to get use to it. :D

Nicky
05-16-2016, 07:06 AM
Hahaha Natasa - keep in mind that you have 3 pages - plenty of space to decorate

Gemininorn
05-16-2016, 07:30 AM
Natasha, it is an unusual size fir me, too but on the other end. I work on a much smaller scale mostly. I made a little booklet out of printer paper with 11 3page spreads in it (moley size) so I can plan out and practise all the things for you lot! And my own spread and travel and sign in pages, too. I am prioritising them by the order in which they should arrive... gosh I just realise this all sounds very organised... very german... :twitcy:

Nicky
05-16-2016, 09:36 AM
:twitcy:Not just German dear... that's the way we do it here in The Netherlands too (well, most of us)

Gemininorn
05-16-2016, 09:55 AM
Haha, good to know I am not the only one

Evalila
05-17-2016, 07:51 AM
But thatīs not for all Germans ***LOL*** This one here is quite un-organised... (I think hubby would nod his head heavily now) :biglaugh:

Gemininorn
05-17-2016, 11:38 AM
The only thing I can think of now is this weird saying :" Exceptions confirm the rule..." My husband is not very organised either, it drives me bonkers sometimes.

Ibus

zandradee I think you have just managed to pick the most challenging theme for me so far  Coming out of my Hd/Hp comfort zone and maybe start to explore mixed media a bit.

I've been out of the game so long, I've forgotten what 'mixed media' entails!

Gemininorn

Ibus, that is a good question ;) I think it is the use of a bit of everything, like collage, molding paste, inks, markers, found texts and basically whatever else you can think of. In the moley I would aim to keep it flat though and not add anything bulky.
Teehee, now I will find out if what I think is mixed media really means mixed media... :twitcy:

Nicky
05-18-2016, 12:45 PM
Looks like a rather complete answer to Ibus' question Gem.... mixed media is indeed a combination of hand drawn art, stamped art, collage etc. and yes, it is important to keep your artwork flat because we don't want the moleys to get damaged during shipping, do we?

zandradee
05-19-2016, 12:13 PM
I would agree with all that's been said so far -- more than one medium, technically. So if you're a HD/HP person, maybe start with that, but add something to it, or do HD/HP on a different kind of surface, like a book page.... Do what you do but add a bit. Have fun playing with all the toys at once.

Gemininorn
05-19-2016, 12:42 PM
I had something planned for you already zandradee, and I had some worries about some parts as I have never done some techniques I would have to try. But I think I will get your moley towards the end so I have plenty of time to try, adapt and improve ;) And I already know I will have fun playing...

I feel like I should be working on my sign-in pages now, too! But I will likely do mine nearer the actual start date since I'm currently involved with a moley group -- almost to the home stretch, right, Nicky? ;)

Nicky
05-29-2016, 04:35 PM
Absolutely right Zandradee - by the way... the moley for that group that you received earlier last week is actually for April - I am currently waiting to receive the May moley from Coyote... I heard that some missed a month in receiving a moley so that would explain the shifting... oh well, as long as all the moleys keep showing up and are received by all players and after that all moleys make it home safe - who cares about a month more or less...

I have started work on my sign in pages but they're not done yet. Also I'm brooding on what to do for my opening page and the first three actual moley pages... coming up with a theme is not the problem - doing the first three pages is (at the moment).

Evalila

Iīm still working on ideas for the sign-in-pages and havenīt even started thinking on the opening page and the first moley pages... Guess I need to put my thinking cap on ;) But things are a little crazy here at the moment, so this will have to wait a little longer. And I still have some PAT-cards to finish :D

Nicky, I was thinking of creating a travel plan as opening page, would that be ok or does it have to be something specific? Since this is my first time I appreciate the input

All right ladies - September 1 is closing in on us fast... please let me know if you are all ready to start at September 1 (this means that the moleys should have started their travel on the first of every month from September on)....

And yes, the travelschedule as posted in thread #2 is the final one....

Make sure that as from a week before September 1, you have all showed your faces in the thread here so that we are sure that everyone is accounted for when we start. There are a few that haven't been around for some time... participating in a moley swap also means that we keep in touch through the thread...

Nicky, your "sign in" pages are the first two that you open, right? The left one being the other side of the cover? And then the first page is which one? The other side of the right "sign in" page? The 3 page spread starts with the accordion pages, right?

Another question. :) Are the sign in pages the same thing as travel plan? If not, where do we put it?

Like I said - mine were done some time ago but personal circumstances made that there was no time to scan them... well, here they are... the sign in pages, the first page and my opening spread on Music....

Gemininorn
08-08-2016, 06:41 AM
Natasha I think you got it right. The first two pages are the sign in pages, I put my travel plan on the back of the second sign in page and then the first 3-page spread starts with the accordion pages. If you are unsure of where your spreads start, open the accordion pages all the way and count from the other end towards the book, going 3 pages at a time.
My sign in pages are where everyone can sign with their names and adresses, and the travel plan (I think) is just to use the single page in a nice way. I am putting down all the afa names and countries there, I might be able to post a pic later today when I am done

Nicky

Addresses will be mailed out some time this week ladies.... no need to exchange individually... Just trying to cope this week with a new kitten in the house, driving our other three cats and the two of us crazy... lol... she is sooooo cute, but really a hand full and so small that she can hide anywhere... we keep searching for her all the time.

Great Will, holiday without internet, sounds like heaven... 3 weeks of work to go here and then 3 weeks holiday (not going anywhere - money is too tight - but at home is fun too)

Gemininorn
08-09-2016, 03:03 AM
Good luck with that kitten Nicky. I remember my youngest cat as a kitten. When she figured out the tiled floor the older cats had no more fun. She would run at them full on, and then throw herself on the tiles and slide under them attacking their bellies...

I hope you have a lovely holiday, even if you are not going anywhere. You have a beautiful country and I am sure you could do bycicle tours in your area if you get bored at home (as if ever) :)

I've been good. :D I did my 3 pages. Now I need advice from more experienced Moley people. :)
How do you protect other pages from getting paint on them? Obviously I protected them with a piece of paper but so many things happened that I didn't think of. Like the paint bleeding underneath, paint getting on the pages I didn't even think were in danger, paint getting on the protective paper then moving the paper and getting paint on the previously finished page, etc.

And is there danger for tearing the pages where they're folded? Should I put tape on the other side?

http://www.atcsforall.com/forum/gallery/images/12129/large/1_001__640_x_334_.jpg

Now I need to think what to do on the first pages. :goofy:

Gemininorn
08-12-2016, 02:53 PM
I love your spread, and especially the middle ladies hair with flowers :D It will provide great inspiration for when I get your moley into my hands (Muahahaha :biglaugh:)

There is a great vid on youtube, by Afa member Moonrose, in it she is showing part of her Moley process. You can also see how she is protecting the rest of the Moley, by wrapping it up in sandwich bags and securing the top and bottom edge with some sort of paper clip.
I don't think you have to worry about the pages tearing, as long as they are not wet I don't see that happening too easily. What I had happen was that my arylic paint started cracking on one of the forlds so I will not be using that again. I used nearly every medium I am comfy with so far on mine already, Inktense pencils on gesso for the sign in pages, Spectrum Noir coloured pencils for the travel plan and acrylics for the first spread. I still have Neocolor watersoluble crayons to try in a trial and error moley. I will let you know how that turns out.

Just to let you all know, I am away on holiday from this Sunday through to the 1st.

So, Ibus, it is my hope to mail my moley to you before I go. Unless you would prefer to receive it after I get back for some reason? I'm pretty sure I can get it done - my vision is clear, anyway.

And redplantlady, if you track what you send me and find it languishing in my local post office, that would be why. Although my teenage son will be staying at home, but he tends to either be asleep or wearing headphones when not at work!

Right I have planned out my sign in pages - and my first 3 pages - but before I transfer into the real thing - sorry for being dim -
is it I - the first 2 pages for sign in: is that the inside front cover and the right hand page with the "in case of loss" bit on the right hand page? (And if this is the case where does the travel plan go?) - then the next 3 pages are my theme
or 2 - skip the inside of the front cover and in case of loss page, and start on the next 2 pages with sign in, and travel plan on the back of page 2 of the sign in pages, then the next 3 with my theme. Is that correct. and does it make sense
I do not want to mess up on day 1!!!! :swoon:

NatashaMay

This is how it was explained to me.

Natasha I think you got it right. The first two pages are the sign in pages, I put my travel plan on the back of the second sign in page and then the first 3-page spread starts with the accordion pages. If you are unsure of where your spreads start, open the accordion pages all the way and count from the other end towards the book, going 3 pages at a time.

that is correct.

travel plan is on the next page that is the back of "in case of loss" bit. You start you 3 pages on the right side.

Gosh, now I am being quoted  I am glad if my explanation helped you Natasha.

Redplantlady, you don't have to make a travel plan if you don't want to. Ibus has drawn a beautiful picture instead of a plan, so you are free to use it as you wish. I was unsure, too and Nicky reminded me that, after all, it is my book and I can do whatever I want in it  That took some pressure off me as I didn't fear making a "mistake" any more...

zandradee
08-20-2016, 04:26 AM
So, I have done sign-in pages and a travel plan, but they are very simple - inky backgrounds with copper gel pen. They aren't clever - since I must mail today to be on time, due to our upcoming holiday - they feel a bit rushed. But as Nicky and Gemininorn say, 'it's my book.' (Ha! quoted again, Gemininorn!)

Posting should officially be done on the first of the month but if for some reason that is not possible, a few days early won't be a problem. Do try not to mail out to late - keep in mind that time is lost when the moley travels and the later you send out, the less time your partner has to work on the moley before it has to start travelling again :)

And please do not mail out way too early either - the player receiving the moley might not be done with the previous moley yet when the next one comes in and that may lead to unnecessary stress... something we should always avoid since we are all in this for fun ;)

I had a nap today (up early and out for an appointment took it out of me) and found I was dreaming on how I could do my first spread in Zandradee's Moley!

I've just realised I have a problem for October. We are going to be in the Netherlands from 3rd to 17th (on the plus side, I could hand deliver Zandradee's to Vantezy, as we won't be far away) but I won't really be able to work on it while there.

In this case, I would be grateful if Zandradee finishes early, if she would mail it out then, so I have a chance to get started before we leave home.

Wonderful Ibus - you should come and visit ;)

Would be nice if we could all meet up, but even those on the Continent are spread out, except for Will and Nicky up past Amsterdam and Vantezy and myself, on either side of the Belgium border, as I will be in Roosendaal!

Haha, I know how you feel. Although I also had the case where I was vividly dreaming about drawing something I had so far found difficult, and after waking up I could suddenly do it

Please report here when you sent out your moley and when you receive one, so we can keep track of them!
I received Will's moley yesterday!

@ll - please sign into the thread at least a few times a month to let us know when you mail out or receive a moley and to show your progress.

I've been able to see in the thread that almost all moleys are travelling or have already arrived... can't find a confirmation though for Vantezy's moley - have I missed a post or isn't it on it's way yet?????

Wonderful to have holiday and therefore have time to spend on art...
Thus the pages in Will's book are done....

I have to say that the little book is something special - I missed being able to flatten my three pages (like in our harmonica moleys). That makes working so much easier.

She put a warning on the inside cover of her book - do take it serious!!!
The pages are less thick than the ones in our moley so markers will most certainly leak through - even my polycolour pencils almost did that!!!!!

I should be able to do that. Nicky and I both got very quick at turning around moleys in our last group, trying to recover time lost elsewhere!

But do feel free to remind me! I am currently jet-lagged out of my mind....

Hahaha - indeed Zandradee - and I had to make up for a lot of lost time elsewhere in that group.... actually, I ams still waiting for YOUR moley in that group to finalize it and send it home...
First the shipping date was delayed (as usual),
then there was an error in the address - she'd only sent moleys to me 9 times before ;) and now that it is finally travelling it takes ages....

Never fear, moley is here ;) Ten minutes ago my postman delivered it to my door and I signed for it. I was starting to wonder as well, but I know it takes longer to post things from Germany to Ireland than from here to Germany. I have relatives and friends in Hannover and Berlin, and even here I noticed from Berlin can take weeks sometimes.

I've been rather nervous about this, (even though I've wanted to do it for years) as I'm sure my art won't measure up, or I'd be totally stuck on what I could do.

I must say, now that I have started, it's very soothing and rewarding to create something for somebody else. ;)

On the last moley swap I did, I made a little circle chart to pin up in my work area, so I had a clear idea of what moley to expect next. I've done that again. I'm attaching it here in case anyone else would like to use it....

Lovely William Morris zandradee, I really like the frame around it to set it off. And ooh, your circle diagram is a great idea, I think I will use that, too. I have set up a practise moley into which I draw the sketch/first version of each spread. And every spread is marked with a paper band with the participants name and theme. But to have the diagram is even better ;)
