Fancy Fibres Swap-Due June 30th~FULL

Number of Fibres - 12 for 12
Number of participants - 2 groups of 12 each.

I am in love with all the fancy fibres I see on the chunky pages and would love to get a collection started (withough having to purchase a full ball of each kind/colour)

In this swap, you will send in 12 - 1 metre (39 inches) lengths of fibre, and in return receive back an assortment of 12 different fibres.

Your fibres should all be the same, cut in 1 metre lengths. Please wind each length around a piece of cardstock with your username on it. The cardstock 'bobbin' will keep things neat and untangled, and be a place for your name, username and the description of the fibre.

There will be 2 groups of 12, and if there is enough interest, I will add more groups.

Postage guidelines
Canadian participants please send an addressed label and 2 regular postage stamps. US, please tuck a $1 bill in there and an address label. Other internationals please include a mailing label.

Yes thats it. You can buy or if you have already thats cool, ONE type of fibre, divide it into 12 1 metre long pieces, wrap each length around a bit of cardstock, stick all 12 in a ziplock bag and mail them to me.

I don't mind at all, Monarch. You know what they say, save the best for last..... I won't be swapping it out for a while anyway, July 1st is Canada Day, and then on the 4th the Stampede starts for 10 days. ( the first day is the Calgary Stampede Parade, and its the best parade ever.)
Anyway, I am sure your fibres will be here soon enough.
As soon as Monarchs fibres arrive, I will swap everything out. Everyone is going to be so pleased, I've been admiring everyones treasures already! Even the packaging and 'bobbins' are cool.

oh lucky you!! I was born in calgary, so I have lots of memories of the fabulous Stampede parade!!! I haven't been able to go for the last 6 years and really miss the whole Stampede experience....pancake breakfasts, weiners and beans downtown, everyone in a cowboy hat and my favourite - Ranchmans after the rodeo is done for the night:jiggy: yee haaaa!!!!!

you really need to make plans to come soon, AlteredMommy... Its still a super fun 10 days, but somethings are not the same as what I remember even from the 80's when I moved to Calgary. The Parade of course is bigger than ever, that will never change! I haven't been to Ranchmans myself for years.. but I am sure it hasn't changed one bit! Pancake breakfasts - yummmmy, but you have to get there really early, as they close the lines off.

Yes, this was a fun swap, and everyone sent in such delicious stuff. Now we should think up another fun one.

I've never tried the napkin and wax cards, YET, but I think we could trade fancy napkins really easily. Each send in a package of pretty napkins (I'm not sure how many are in a pack) but that would be easy to swap.

Any suggestions?

I think they start at about 8 per pack. One thing would be to try and find imges that are scaled down enough for atc's. I noticed some really cool Wine bottle napkins but they would have been to large for an atc.

Sounds great, I've been getting napkins for ages ... some I've used once and then use the others as padding round my ATCs, lighter than cardboard, just as effective and useful at the other end! :)

Ibus...great idea to use napkins for padding. I am a napkin nut, but never end up using a whole pack of napkins. Usually, I get the smaller size napkins (luncheon or drink size) to use for ATC images. A napkin swap sounds fun.
