Falling Into Inchies Due October 12, 2020

Autumn is our next season for inches! You can use any Fall theme including Halloween and Thanksgiving as well as autumn leaves, harvesting, and other ideas you come up with. Please try to make each inchie different since one person might be getting a couple of your inches.

Please Do:
-Art that you would love to receive yourself
-Each inchie should be 1" x 1" Using an 1" punch is the best way to go for accuracy or please measure as precisely as possible! Slanted, wavy, or too small/too large inchies will be returned as part of your trade. I am willing to send blank Inchies to anyone in the USA that feels they are having difficulty with cutting Inchies.
- Heavy but plyable paper should be used, about 140 lb. weight
-Please no white backgrounds
-Use at least 3 things on each Collage/Mixed Media inchie and nothing that is too bulky for sending internationally
-Include your username and real name on the back
- Protect them in a plastic sleeve
-Host gifts are so appreciated but or not required
-PM me when you need my addy

*Please mail early! I love to swap on the due date if possible! Inchies that are not received by October 12th or do not follow the directions will be returned to the artist at their expense.

Please include a large label with your address clearly printed on it and a US Forever stamp (I'll provide the envelope)
Those outside of the USA please include an International Global Forever Stamp or a concealed $1 with your large address label.

Please leave iTrader for me when you get your returns so I know they arrived safely and please give rep points ("you rock") to the people you received inchies from!

If you have any questions, please just ask!

Great having you back Robin and clever Heathermae77. Welcome to you, dnewton972! I’m excited about Autumn! Was getting a little tired Of Spring and Summer being similar. Heathermae77, I hope you want both categories because that is how I’m signing you up:rolleyes:

08-31-2020, 08:31 AM
dnewton972, your very lovely inchies have arrived!

09-09-2020, 02:00 PM
I decided to do my mixed media inchies first because I always struggle with them. And I actually did cheat because I drew 6 and then put them aside. All that said, I am done my mixed media ones and when I have time I will try to post them!

09-09-2020, 02:02 PM
Heather, your fabulous HD/HP inchies arrived!

09-10-2020, 04:53 AM
I am so sorry but inspiration has been lacking and it is now too late to mail to you so please withdraw me. :(

09-11-2020, 02:21 PM
Sorry to see you go, Donnacr, but I understand.

I've got one set of inchies done and will finish the other this weekend. I will join.

09-13-2020, 11:08 AM
Oh, groan. I thought I would be joining you, but I managed to foul up my inchies. I was steaming along, happy with the fact that I'd made some inchie blanks ahead of time. I made 8 so there would be 2 hosties. THEN I put them side by side to take a photo and noticed they were different sizes!!! Upon measuring them I found most of them were probably about 1.25 inches. Why would I have precut these in weird sizes?? We may never know. I don't have the heart to redo them, so I'll either just keep them, or try to trade with someone who's okay with a bizarre size, lol. Y'all have fun! Just for the heck of it I'll post photos. I kind of like them, so I won't be sad if I have to keep them. ;)
(BTW, I've done lots of inchie swaps and this is the first time I've messed them up like this!)
The little yellow square is an actual inchie for comparison, lol. Even the smaller looking ones are bigger than an inchie. Sheesh. I'll be giving my precut squares to my grandkids to decorate.

aznfg, glad to have you back! You are signed up!

Plumhill2001, I see some space there. Can’t you trim them down a tad. The flower and the leaf might not work, but it looks like the rest might. Arrange the yellow Inchie on top of each and see if it can work.

I just might try that. Thanks! :)

Okay, I'd like to sign up, please! I've trimmed my inchies down and I'll get them in the mail tomorrow or as soon as I get your addy. :)

09-14-2020, 03:46 PM
I love how you trimmed them! They look great!

09-18-2020, 10:56 PM
Lurking. I've never done inchies. But CQ's recent puzzle piece swap is getting me to think outside the box...although since inchies are square, this would technically inside the box.

09-19-2020, 10:29 AM
Haagmm, too funny! We would love to have you join us! I do have to warn you that they are addictive.

09-19-2020, 10:35 AM
Plumhill2001, you’re awesome inchies are here! I’m so glad I thought of trimming them because they’re perfect and thank you for the hostie!

Heather, your inchies are here also and thank you for the hostie! I am really fascinated by these trees. They are really cool!

09-19-2020, 12:48 PM
Trimming was a great idea! Haagmm was talking about thinking outside the box which reminded me that it's okay for the drawings to bleed off the edge of the card. I always feel like I have to show the whole image, centered on the card. It actually gives some extra character to them when they're cropped down a bit. Making lemonade out of lemons!

09-19-2020, 08:25 PM
I can echo that, Plumhill! Your inchies have me rethinking my art for sure!

09-20-2020, 03:44 PM
I would like to join and do both the mixed media and hand drawn swaps. I'm a newb now, but was very active back around 2010. I hope to be getting back into swapping!

09-20-2020, 08:20 PM
Excited to have you join us, carolynsn!

09-22-2020, 05:54 PM
