Just wondering what dates work for those collage folks for an upcoming collage-a-thon weekend.

Note that Apri 2-5 is the Stamp-a-hon and April 17-19 is the Zentangle-a-thon. It seems there was something else suggested, but it wasn't on the calendar and I can't remember what or when... :err:

Definitely NOT the May-22-24 dates as I will be traveling cross-country and won't be here to collage. I LOVE CATs and I didn't participate as much in the last one as I did in the previous one and I want to make up for it during the next one.

But I couldn't do that if I wasn't here, could i??

Yes, definitely not May 22-24 because I'm out of town then and I don't have internet. All other weekends are fine but the two first are better.

Sounds like May 22-24 is NOT the weekend of choice... :D

The first of May is the third biggest festival day here in Finland. And because I live in the capital area, I need to see all the people having parties here. Maybe I can share the fun with you all here.

The first weekend in May is my birthday. It works for me though. I won't be around much on Saturday cause I know my sisters are planning a kidnapping. They act like they aren't but I got those girls figured out!!! I'll play on Friday, Saturday night and Sunday though if it ends up being that weekend.

Amazingly enough, any of those weekends works for me just now.

Oooohhh, May Day! Does anyone remember when we made little paper cones and filled with fresh picked flowers and hung them on doorknobs, range the bell, and hid to see what the reaction was??? Oh I miss those simple days and the fun we had making people smile (as long as we did not pick flowers from their flowerbeds)...:jiggy:

I could do a May CAT, ok, I could do an April CAT too - I'll just go ahead and admit that when the urge strikes I'll clear my calendar, work table, etc (lol). April is going to be busy for me but if it's not the weekend I'm in Raleigh, NC for a meeting (I'll be taking a travel kit - never fear) which is the weekend of April 25th. I can do it or I can do the cards while I'm gone and post them late Sun. or early Mon. when I get back. Where there is a will there is a way.

The only thing I have in May so far is a day trip on the 2nd to Atlanta to the museum to the King Tut exhibit (can't wait!!!!) - hey, maybe I'll get some inspiration from that!!!

It doesn't matter how long I prepare or how well I lay out my production line, I'm never prepared. I'm going to start closing the blinds and double locking the door and turning off the phone on CAT weekends (lol).

I remember doing the May Day baskets... it was fun leaving them on our neighbors front steps, ringing the bell and hiding so they didn't know who left them. We had a garden with lots of flowers, and a neighbor who encouraged us to use hers too for the baskets. That was a fun time. :)

May 25th is Memorial Day, here in the USA, so that is a 3 day weekend. May 25th is my birthday, always a holiday for me. LOL

Well... May 1-3 is ahead. I'll be gone from tomorrow morning until April 6th, so shall we leave the poll open and see what happens? Or shall we call it May 1-3?

Comments anyone?

Are we still collaging this coming weekend?? My plans have changed - won't be going to the museum so I free to let the glue fly!!

I hope it's still on for this weekend. I've already started gathering up bases, backgrounds, images etc. No, patience is NOT one of my virtues.

The May Collage a thon thread has been posted...
http://www.atcsforall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9881

Optional Theme and Challenge for the weekend:
Theme: May Day – whatever that means in your area of the world.
Challenge: Recycled art using at least three (3) recycled or re-purposed items. Create an ATC using only recycled or re-purposed materials… (i.e. junk mail, receipts, old keys, tickets, used stamps, things intended for the garbage, etc…). The ATC “blank” counts if made from re-cycled materials. Embellishing with pens, inks, glitter etc is great… just make sure you have at least three (3) recycled or re-purposed items as part of the card.

Hope to see you there!
