1. Post to the Swap that you have received your returns and thank the artists, as usual. This will bump your swap up to the first place in the Index (list of threads).

2. Go to the Active ATC or Mail Art Swaps Index (the list of threads) and find the swap for which you want to leave feedback. Do not click on the swap name; instead, click on the NUMBER of replies, shown as a hotlink to the right of the swap.

3. This will bring up a popup window with everyone's name on it who has posted to the swap thread.

4. Find your trading partner's name and click on the number beside it. This will bring up a window showing their posts. Click on one, then click the You Rock button to leave rep.

Note: By using a RIGHT-click on the number, you can open the posts in another tab. This way, you will be able to close that window without losing the Who Posted? window with everyone's name in it.

Thanks Jean- as a newbie you have saved me much frustration due to the fact that I'm "computer illiterate."

For monthly PAT swaps ...do you leave rep points or Itrader for the players

In a PAT swap you leave iTrader for the host and iTrader for each person that made a card for you. Of course, you can leave rep too if you want!

You should leave an iTrader to any one who makes you a card in a PAT.
You can also leave Rep points if you want too. :)

Thank you so much jean! I was just telling my kitty (who loves to typ secreat coded messages to all the world) "there has to be an easier way to leave rep points!" and there you were with yet again another valuable bit of info to help this sight run so smoothly!

Can I give you a rep point just for being so Altra cool and helful to us noobs?

OMG - I wish I'd seen this months ago. Too simple :) Thanks so much for clarifying this, Jean.

just tried doing this, but it does not seem to be working. I get the list of names, but when I click on the number it says "sorry, no matches'

Right mouse click on the number after a name, choose open in new window from the menu. That will give you a list of all the members posts in the thread. :)

i think i'd still like to leave itrader points for the swaps I get, but will definitely give rep too :D

Pixiecorpse, you can only leave iTrader for the Host of the regular swaps that you participate in. Reps (You Rocks) can be left for the players whose cards that you received in a swap.
If you have left iTrader for your fellow players in a swap, please report them to have them removed. Just click the little triangle and Staff will take care of it for you. :)

Wow learning this has made a huge difference in my time and frustration for posting you rocks! thank you!

When I try to leave REP points in this way, I get a pop-up window error message that says, "You cannot give reputation to the same post twice." I'm not adding REP to the same user, either. Weird glitch?

Yep. Weird glitch. I found the user on another thread, went to "You Rock", and now the error I get is, "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to [username] again." Somehow, I gave rep without ever seeing the dialogue box to give rep; I would have preferred to leave a message! What can I say. Sighs. What a dork.

I've been getting several of those "blank" you rock points lately too. When I asked one person about the blank 'rock' -I needed to offer to repair a card- she said she had filled it in and had no idea why it was blank. Go figure.. :-/
