I thought I would be so neat to display some Angelical Art for Christmas.


Your design should be the focal element and Mixed Media elements. Please use sturdy watercolor paper as your base, and use only flat/small embellishments. Seal your finished postcards with the finish of your choice (beeswax, gel medium, acrylic spray) to protect them in shipping and hold all the lovely layered elements in place.

All cards must be well constructed - not flimsy or falling apart!
Backs should be finished neatly and must contain user ID and real name at a minimum.
Each card should be packaged in a sleeve, envelope or baggie for protection.
POSTAGE: US Participants, please enclose $1 (cash or stamp) for postage. I will cover anything above that, as well as postage for up to 10 international players.
I will supply and address the return envelopes.
Please PM me with YOUR addy after signup is confirmed.
I understand if life is busy and you need to drop, but make sure you let me know. No cards + no communication = neutral itrader.

Thanks Karen....I don't really have the time... I'm making time, :) I wanted to take Les petite girls class and talked myself out because I thought I wouldn't have the time since I'm always traveling... I'm taking my journal with me and I'll be sketching like crazy.

Next week I'll be in North Carolina, come home for a week and back out to Florida....
Somehow I'll get this course done! :D

TY, I'm in NC and it was a successful day! I went to work made it back to the hotel around 5:00 PM..and I was able to make it to a local scrapbook store... I needed some rub-ons for Suzii;s class. I had to hurry up to get to the art store before they closed. There I got a kit to make your own rub-ons ten 8x10 pages, water soluble pastels and yupo paper I saw some samples of paintings with alcohol inks on yupo... So I just had to get some and try it. :) As far as work it was the usual meetings ...blah...blah..blah... boring! :sleep:

I've been intrigued by this swap every since I first saw it posted and finally am caught up on almost everything so please sign me up!

A couple questions though as I've never done one of the 4X6 swaps yet!;) Is 140 lb. watercolor paper OK to use and will a regular business sized envie work to send these? (Any tips on sending them would be mucho appreciated too!)

TimeInMyhands... It's a pleasure to have you.... 140 lb watercolor paper is great for postcards as far as the envelope... You may need a bigger envelope for them ...more like a 5x7 greeting card envelope. I hope this helps! :)

Happy sunday all! I went to AC Moore yesterday, it's about 45 min drive... not really looking for anything in particular. I found Liquitex acrylic inks... and I tried them last night doing some background pages. I'm in love again.. I bought three colors, purple, blue and green I should have got more.
