NJ Gathering OCTOBER 2011

Sniisk is coming to America! Sniisk, HHC and KESagers are co-hosting an ALL ART MARATHON online September 30 – October 3. Great news for those of you within driving distance . . . Sniisk and KESagers are hosting a

LIVE ALL-ART-MARATHON at Kristin’s house on Saturday, October 1st.

Starting at 12noon and going until we can’t go anymore. The plan is to work on our marathon cards and do some trading in person. I’ll have my Big Shot set up with my Tim Holtz dies. But this is an ATART so it means all types of art including crochet, sewing, beading – any kind of art you can think of!

If you are planning to attend please, please, please PM me or post it in the thread. This lets me know how many work stations to set up. It also lets me plan for enough food and goodie bags for everyone. (Sharlene gifted us with goodie bags last time and they were filled with wonderful supplies. Such a great idea I’ll be doing the same this time.)

Things to bring:

Snack to share - I will provide slow cooked soup for supper
Supplies to create your art
Art or supplies to trade

I've mentioned this before and in the other thread but I should mention it here. I'm afraid we don't serve alcohol - I'm allergic to it - long scary story. I can cook with it (cooking the alcohol out makes it safe for me to eat) but taking a sip by mistake from the wrong cup could be a fatal mistake for me. As a result I'm asking that we keep this an alcohol free party. I promise to have some yummy soups and as a compromise I'm going to try a guinness beef recipe.

We had such a great time at the last live gathering – I hope you can join us for this one.

Please note that all updates regarding the gathering will be posted to the thread. I will not be sending out additional PMs. However if you need my address and cell number let me know and I’ll message you all of that information.

Oooooh sounds like so much fun...I have a wedding of a dear friend that day so probably won't be able to make it but will dig up the invite to see if there's any way I can come for a bit just to say hi to everyone and to meet Sniisk...will keep you posted!

Also the name of the game is CUPCAKE! Sniisk has never tried one so cupcakes we will have. :D:D:D Anyone who wants to bring cupcakes feel free and if we end up with a ton of them we'll do a cupcake exchange so everyone can go home with some different flavors.

BTW - would anyone like to do a napkin swap while we are all together? Sharlene brought some great ones last time but I wasn't organized enough then but I'll be ready this time.

OMG! Is this something you NJ ladies do often? My husband and I are PCSing to McGuire AFB in the spring! This sounds like so much fun! Are you near McGuire? I would love to join you once I get up there!

I don't use napkins but I can bring some if I have any extra space in my suitcase.

Jennschales - been to McGuire but it was a long time ago - you wont be too far away - it's just not a super fast drive but if you don't mind a little time in the car then you are close enough. On a map when you find the base go a little northwest and you'll find Princeton. I'm about 7 miles north of Princeton.

Love to have some napkins from Finland if you have room Sniisk. I'll trade you something else. ;)

The goodie bags are assembled. Baked some Milky Way cupcakes yesterday and they are in the freezer. Today I vacuum.:twitcy:

It looks like there will be 5 or 6 of us. I have plenty of table space for us to spread out while we work. :)
