Number of Items: sets of 6:6 (up to 8 sets - one for each color)

How it works:

We'll be making monochromatic (or mostly monochromatic) inchies in a rainbow of colors: Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Blue, and Purple. You can sign up for as many or as few colors categories as you wish, and will make SIX inchies for each color! If you'd like to just participate in one or two colors, you can, or if you want to do all 8 colors, you are welcome! (If you sign up for all 8 colors, keep in mind that's 48 inchies!)

I'd like these to be mostly monochromatic. We want a big rainbow color impact! A tiny touch of another color is okay, as long as they're mostly the primary color. See the thread psosts to see waht everyone else is submitting, to see what I'm looking for.

Please:

Make sure your inchies are 1" X 1" square.
You can use embellishments as long as they're relatively flat. I've used a couple of very tiny rhinestones that are only a millimeter or so high. Nothing bulky please. Also, make sure any embellishments are securely attached.
Stickers are fine, but please don't just stick a sticker on a plain background and call it done. Snazz it up with your artsy style!
Please put at the least your username and the year on the back. You can also put the full date, your real name, and even the swap name if you so choose (and can write uber small!).
Put your inchies into something to secure them from flying all over the place in your envelope. I put mine into an atc sized sleeve with staples in between, or you can use little ziplock baggies, or I've even seen some really snazzy handmade inchie holders. Just as long as they're secure. I don't want to open an envelope and have inchies falling all over the place!
When you receive your returns for the swap, remember to leave iTrader for the Host (me) and Rep Points for the people you received cards from!
Hostess gift inchies are always welcome but never required. I'll be participating, so I'll get lots of inchies anyways! ^_^

I'll pm you my address as you sign up. Note I'm in Canada, so please allow ample time for shipping your inchies to me.
Canadian Partipicants - please send either a SASE or a loose 61 cent or permanent postage stamp and a large address label.
US Participants - please send $1 US for postage, and either a self-addressed envelope, or a large address label.
International Participants - If you have $2 US for postage, I welcome it. If not, I will cover postage. Please send a self-addressed envelope, or large address label.
Please write your username and swap name on the back of the envelopes you mail your swaps in!

I've had a few people ask me if their inchies are monochromatic enough. If using another color with the primary color, little bits are fine, but there shouldn't be larger solid areas of the other color. A good way to tell is to squint at the inchie, and if you see almost completely the primary color, you're good. Hope this helps explain it a little better. :)

Welcome Irva. Inchie blanks are just blank 1" X 1" squares that you use as the beginning/base of your inchie. Your inchie should be sturdy, so if you haven't used watercolor paper, or heavy cardstock, or something similar in weight, you should back it with something thicker. I sometimes use cereal boxes as backing, and find they work great. :)

Mine are done. I have used mainly ink, with some embossing. Are they a bit plain? Some of the ones already uploaded by you all are gorgeous. Where do you get your minute pictures to add in?

Those are beautiful Gillyscrapper! Not plain at all. I have a hard time finding little images to collage inchies with. When I'm cutting things out of books and magazines, I make a separate little pile of inchie sized images, then put them with my inchies supplies. Stamps are also good, because they're so small, and I also like some stickers, if they're good quality. :) Once in a blue moon I'll load a bunch of clipart into MS Word, and resize it really small, but that takes for ever, so it's not often.

LOL! I weighed my package, added an extra tenth of an ounce, calculated the postage online, and added extra postage. Then, while heading to the mailbox, I had a moment of panic that, because it was a little thick, I didn't have enough postage, so I went back home. I went to the PO the next day, and not only did it weigh less than my scale did, I definitely had enough postage (with about 50 cents of postage extra ;) ).

I just hope it gets there in time!

I sell on etsy, so I'm used to shipping and weighing, and have only had something returned to me once because of insufficient postage. *knocks on wood* And, you're in New England, not far from me, so it should get here no problem. Well, that's assuming it comes through Maine to New Brunswick.....god knows, it could go to Montreal first or something. lol

I was all set, until I double checked the USPS site and it said something about 1/4" of thickness... and the way I packed them up, the envelope was a smidgen over that. And, I'm crossing my fingers that the mail goes straight up the coast and gets there on the quicker side :)

But, there are about 5 different US stamps on there if you want save them for collage work ;)

Alright! I started swapping Tuesday night, then finished up yesterday when I got home from work. In total, it took me over 10 hours to swap them all out. HAHA What was I THINKING?!?!?! LMAO

So, all the US and Canadian ones are on the way this morning. I'll mail the international envies when I get off work today, so they'll go out in tomorrow's mail. :D

When leaving your rep points, you don't have to leave one rep point for every inchie, dear god, you'd be here for 3 days! Just leave one rep per person. So, for example, if you get a green, yellow, and turquoise inchie from DonnaCR, just leave one rep point saying something like "Got 3 inchies from you". etc. :)
