a mixed-media inchie swap

For this swap, make six inchies in mixed-media (three mediums or more). The focus of each inchie should be a human being. "A person, represented in a mix of media" are the only theme requirements!

Think about little yearbook photos, magazine people, scans of family group photos . . . all those images of people that are usually a little too tiny to be used in mail art.

I've never hosted an inchie swap, so I'm limiting this to 35 participants.

The work should be entirely different and original (don't "assembly line" inchies that are exactly the same).

A few guidelines . . .

1. All inchies should be standard 1” x 1." Imprecise, crooked-cut inchies will be returned.
2. All inchies should be sent in a plastic ATC sleeve or a tiny ziplock bag. Six inchies will actually fit in a single ATC sleeve. DO NOT use tape directly on the inchie, even on the back.
3. Please put artist ID on the back of your inchies at a minimum--other info is up to you.
4. Please only send art that took time and care.
5. No inchie's focus should be a sticker or scrapbooking embellishment.
6. Keep inchies flat--don't make 3D inchies for this swap.


and a few thoughts about mailing . . .

* Please include username and swap name on all envelopes sent in.
* International peeps--please send a U.S. dollar or a few U.S. stamps if you have them. If not, I will happily cover your postage. Don't make your inchies out of lead, though.
* US Participants--Please include a SASE with stamp/stamps = to what it takes to ship your inchies to me. 45 cents, or a single "forever" stamp should suffice.


All art is due in my hands by the due date. Late art will be returned. Please mail early so they arrive on time. Late art without notice and no-shows will receive neutral iTraders. [I really do leave neutrals . . . so don't be surprised.]

Also, just an FYI . . . the generous and entirely optional host gifts often sent by U.S. players never take the place of properly addressed, sufficiently posted SASEs. those are a true gift.

Is it like 1 hand drawn element, 1 magazine element, and glitter. Or 1 cut out word, 1 cut out background, 1 photo of a person?

I don't usually do mixed media as you can probably tell haha.
