Water Color Still Life Swap

Your goal for this swap is to use watercolors to paint objects that don’t move. Lamps, bottles, your workspace, breakfast, fruit, houseplants, musical instruments, your morning cup of coffee… the possibilities are endless!

Rules:
Original artwork only!
-- Must be watercolor (ink outlines are fine)
-- --Make your cards sturdy. They should be more than a flimsy piece of paper, so be sure to put on a backing if necessary. If they are flimsier than an index card, they will be returned.
-- Put your screenname and swap title on the back of your cards.
--Protect your ATCs in sleeves or plastic baggies.
--Communicate if you must withdraw. It's no big deal - just let me know!
--Extra cards as host gifts are always, always appreciated, but never required!

Mailing Directions:
* Send me a PM when you are ready to mail and I will send you my address. I moved a month ago, so make sure you have my new one!
*Send an address label and loose postage. I will provide envelopes. Loose extra postage or well-concealed US cash is much appreciated to help international players. Write your username and swap name on your return envelope! The 5 I'll pay for are full, if you are beyond #5 on the list...please send a us $1, US stamps, or ask me about paypal. Thanks!
*Don’t tape the daylights out of your cards! A little tape goes a long way.
*Put your screenname and swap title on the back of your envelope.

Players - when you receive your cards for the swap, remember to leave iTrader for the Host (me) and Rep Points for the people you received cards from! I will be leaving iTrader as cards come in.

Here are mine :) I haven't done still life watercolors in a long time, it was a lot harder for me to get back into this style than I thought it would be. There are a lot of 'drafts' in my trash bin, haha. But it was a fun challenge!

Yup! I have tried to break myself of the habit of outlining everything I do with ink...but I can't. So outlining with ink is just fine for this swap :) Love those Tandy!

The yupo that I have is sturdy enough to use on its own (without backing). If it "stands up" when put on end (that is, doesn't fall or fold over), it should be fine. Anyone who can be successful with tricky yupo gets an A+ in my book!! :)

I guess the mouse would count. I was sort of half thinking about doing my greyhound. He does a great job of "holding down the floor." I guess you should include some more still life-y stuff in it...like discarded toys or cheese.

Whisperingnan, those are fabulous! As for this swap being sort of broad. That's the way I wanted it. My main reason for the water color swaps I have going right now was to pure and simple provide encouragement to practice watercolor. I think the best way of practicing is paint things from real life :)

junkie, oh, my that bell pepper is gorgeous - they all are! and jo- the books and eyeglasses are incredible...looks like my desk! Es, that is an African violet, is it not? Looks just like one - kudos on kudos! I'm always amazed when someone can do that - draw a plant that is recognizable with a glance. Of course, if it's a calla lily, my face is red. ;)

I'm loving all the art in this swap and am NOT envying you, ES, having to send most of it away!
