PIF:ATC's..Stitched/Embroidered

Hi all,
in this PIF all the cards have to be stitched /embroidered..
you can stich onto canvas, fabric, perforated paper whatever...you can stich on a smallerpiece then mount it onto card you have decorated if you wish..just as long as the main part of the ATC is stitched...
It can be hand or machine embroidered..
*once you have grabbed an ATC you can not grab another until you have posted out the one you have made
* You must have the card out within 3 weeks..
* You must have a positive Itrader to play
* Please post in this thread when you post and when you receive...
* pm each other to send details etc.
* once you have selected your choice of ATC..post up 3 cards you would be willing to make

Just dropping in to say hi :)

I am interested in joining in on this PIF when I get some swaps and trades off my plate. I am not an experienced, traditional stitcher. I like to do more freehand stuff with thread and material. Does it have to be cross-stitch (which takes me bloody for-EV-er... like months) or traditional embroidery, or are you open to other interpretations?

As far as I'm aware it's Open, as long as it's stitched. I don't do cross stitch either, drives me dotty as I keep losing my place on the graph, despite all the magnets etc to help. I've done machined and hand-stitched.

I see lots I'd like (seahorse, blue butterfly) but I'm a slow stitcher. I'm working on blue bells for Ibus this week.

I hope it is okay to ask this here, but I was wondering if some cards I make would be appropriate for this PIF...I make embroidered pictures sort of in the style of Clare Beaton (a children's book illustrator) using felt and fabric shapes hand-sewn onto backgrounds to create a scene. Would that be all right here, or does it need to be cross stitch or similar?

Hmmm, I may have made a boob with the landscape card I sent xstitcher (and she is way too nice to complain). It was bad enough that it took me so long to complete because I was ill. I think I will have to send her another.....

No mistake here ............ The card is lovely and perfectly ok. It has flowers embroidered on the bottom. While I would love to have more cards from you we will have to do so as a 1 to 1 trade.

as long as there is some embroidery it is fine.... Lavenderlizard didn't mention any embroidery on her atc just pieces of felt stitched onto an ATC.... but as you embroidered flwers onto yours it is acceptable.....as long as the ATC's have some form of embroidery on them they are fine..but if there is some embroidery on lavenderlizard's then they too would be acceptable..I hope I am making sense....I have just crawaled out of bed so I am still half asleep..lol
