Your Favorite Things To Draw ATC Swap!

This swap is all about the things you love to draw...
Monsters, chickens, people, landscapes, faces, vegetables, robots, fish, flowers, abstracts, zombies, etc...The possibilities are endless!

The Nitty Gritty about the cards:
-Each card must be ATC size, 2.5" x 3.5" inches and on a sturdy base (cardstock, bristol, watercolor paper, chipboard).
-Cards must be hand drawn or hand painted, no other media is allowed in this particular swap.
-Draw what you please so long as it's one of your favorite things to draw.
-We all have different skill levels but please only send work that you have put effort into and would be happy to receive!
-Label all cards with your real name, AFA username, date and name of the swap. Please send each card in a protective plastic penny sleeve or handmade envie.

Postage:
US Players: please send a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope with the same amount of postage it took to get your cards to me.

International Players: Please send a well concealed $1 bill in your envelope or $1 worth of US Postage in your envelope. Include a large address label with your address neatly printed.

Please write your username and Swap Name on your envelopes.

I-trader:
Cards are due in my hand on July 8th.
Late cards will be returned at your own expense.

I will leave i-trader for each player as I receive their cards, I ask that you leave i-trader for me when you receive your returns and you rock points (rep) for your fellow traders whose cards you have received.

If you sign up and do not communicate by not sending cards (without withdrawing) you will receive a neutral i-trader.

Extra cards for the host are always welcome but never required.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask and when you need my address to send your cards please message me.

ATCs; Open Media, THINGS WITH WINGS due August 2nd

This swap is about things with wings. Think birds, insects, fairies, airplanes, etc.
EACH ATC NEEDS TO BE DIFFERENT. Please do not use embellishments that will make your ATCs extra thick or bumpy as the mail machines love to "eat" those types of mails. If the directions are not followed I will be sending them back to you with the postage that you have on your return envelope.

Late cards will be returned to the artist and neutrel I-Trader given. Lack of communication and lack of ATCs will result in Neutral I-Trader given. Please, please communicate. US SWAPPERS, please send a SASE. Postage will be whatever it cost you to send it to me. INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS, I WILL COVER POSTAGE FOR THE FIRST THREE INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS. All other international participants will need to send either US $$ or US stamps for return postage. I am going to be setting up a Pay Pal account soon but for now those are the options that international participants will have. ALL INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS NEED TO SEND A SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE OR LABEL TO GET THEIR RETURNS IN. Please label all your envelopes with your user name & swap name. Place each ATC in a plastic sleeve. An extra ATC on the subject would be greatly appreciated but is not mandatory. Please feel free to post your ATCs to the thread. Most international mail will take anywhere from one to two weeks to arrive in WA. Please plan accordingly. All Things H.P. Lovecraft

I started reading H.P. Lovecraft's stories a year ago and loved the macabre and grotesque images of both the people and creatures in his stories, from Cthulhu to Herbert West, Reanimator. The tales can be so imaginative, so hopefully they inspire you, too!

Swap Requirements ~

* Please include username, real name, your state/country and the swap name on the back of all card. Make sure you put your username and swap name on all envelopes sent so I can get the cards sent as smoothly and quickly as possible.
* US Participants – Please include a clearly written SASE.
* International Participants - Please send a clearly-addressed envelope or mailing label and I will cover postage.

The full moon has been associated with Magick and Mahem, Riots and Romance, Werewolves and wanderlust, Friday the 13th and other omens of bad luck.
The crescent moon is associated with starry nights and new beginnings.
Eclipses of the moon portent great things, or doom.
There have been songs created, colors named, and sayings perpetuated based on phases of the moon.
Full Moon reflections adorn many a living room wall, and crescent moons are featured on vintage greeting cards.

The Moon has been memorialized in songs – “Moon River”, “Moonlight Sonata”, "Shine on Harvest Moon"
The Moon has been celebrated in Children's poetry and Mother Goose Rhymes - " The Cow Jumped Over the
Moon" and Robert Louis Stevenson's "A Children's Garden of Verses."
The Moon has given its name (from the Latin “luna”) to lunacy and lunatics
The Full Moon has been cursed by hospitals and police (due to the lunatics that seem to abound on full moons).
The Full Moon has been the bane of werewolves (I used to be a werewolf but I'm all right nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.)
The Full Moon is celebrated by the Chinese with Lunar Festivals, the popular Lantern Moon Festival and yummy Mooncakes!!

There are certain plants that grow better, or have more potency, when planted on the Full Moon.
There are common sayings - "Once in a Blue Moon", "Beware the Blood Moon", "Wait for the Gibbons Moon"

Your cards can focus on pretty moons or stormy moons.
Full moons or crescent moons.
Rising moons or setting moons.
You can show gentle lovers enjoying a moonlit walk, or weird animals which have been affected by the full moon, or normal animals conducting their normal nighttime activities by moonlight.
You can show Chinese Lunar traditions, or Wiccan Full Moon Celebrations.
Or you can create ATC's that have the moon and/or moonlight in them in some form.
It could be the sky at night, the moon's reflection on water, the moon viewed through a window.
Anything goes, as long as the ATC includes a moon.

* This is a 3 for 3 or 6 for 6 ATC card trade. Make 3 or 6 ATCs and receive 3 or 6 ATCs back.

* All mediums and styles are welcome. All I ask is that you send in your best work. Something you would not be disappointed in receiving if it was sent to you.

* Please make sure to package your cards securely and confirm there is enough postage on the envelope.

* If you are unsure about mailing ATCs, or just may want to pick up some good tips for shipping, here is a great link.

* If you are inside the U.S., please include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope 4 by 9 1/2 inches, plus 46 cents postage, or one "Forever" stamps if trading 3 cards, OR 66 cents postage or two "Forever" stamps if trading 6 cards, OR if your cards are extra heavy.

* International participants, I will cover your postage. Please include a self addressed envelope 10 cm x 28 cm, or if you do not have the correct size envelope, please include a large mailing label with your address and I will provide the envelope.

* I apologize for being so demanding about the envelope size, but the postal rates in the US charge extra for thickness. When cards are stacked, or overlapped, in (a smaller) envelope, it almost always costs more to mail. When I use the 4 inch by 9 1/2 inch business size envelopes, I can spread the cards over the area, making a THIN package, and only pay for basic (minnimum) postage.

* Please send your cards in protective plastic sleeves, and assure that they are ATC size (2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches). Please put the Swap name and your Username on the back of all cards. And please write clearly on everything! We can't give you itrades and/or You Rock! points if we don't know who you are.

* Cards are due in my hands by August 2, 2013. Please allow sufficient lead time for cards to get to me, particularly if you are an International participant. Mail can take 3-5 days within the U.S., and 10-14 days Internationally.

* itrader ratings will be given when I receive your cards. Returns will be mailed promptly. Late cards will be returned, as it is unfair to those participants who always have their cards in early or on time.

* A hostie card in this theme is appreciated but not at all expected!

CREEPY, CRAWLY INSECT SWAP

This is a swap dedicated to INSECTS!! Creepy, crawly little bugs!! You are required to make 3 ATCs, all featuring an insect. Your insects can be ones that actually exists in nature, or it can be an insect entirely from your imagination. The only rule is: your bug has to have 6 legs!
