VINTAGE WOMEN ATC swap
Cards due on – July 30, 2012
Sign up any time
Number of cards – 3 for 3
Number of players - unlimited

This swap will celebrate women from the 1900s through the 1950s. Cards should include a photographic image of a woman of any age from one of these decades plus some hand-drawn and/or collaged items that help illustrate that decade. You can add text if you want to make any kind of statement, serious or humorous. Use your own photos or copyright-free images. Don’t use images to which someone else owns the right. If in doubt, don’t use it! Please note on the card back which decade you are featuring on the card.

What kind of women will it be fun to portray? There are sirens, housewives, singers, students, superheroines, heads of state, actors, moms, grannies, daughters, farmers, mountain-climbers, odalisques, artists and models, office workers, chefs, writers – you name it!

SWAP RULES – PLEASE read them all!
*All cards should be 3.5” by 2.5”, horizontal or vertical.
*Please, no heavy, thick or bulky embellishments or loose glitter. No stickers with white borders as the main image. Make sure collaged pieces are glued well.
*Cards should be on a sturdy base, like cardstock or cardboard or watercolor paper.
*Please include your user name, real name and state or country, plus the swap name on the back of your cards.
*Send work that is your best and that you are proud of. I will try to swap cards that match similar effort. I don’t swap randomly, but carefully and as considerately as I can.
*I’m not shy – I love host cards! But they’re not mandatory…
*I will pay the postage for the first two international players. Any other international players please include $1 for return postage.

U.S. PLAYERS – Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the same amount of postage you used to send your cards to me. No meter strips, please. PM me for my address when you are ready to mail your cards. All cards are due in my hands by July 30. Late cards will be returned. Please mail early so they arrive on time. Don’t forget to leave iTrader for me and rep points for the other players that you get cards from.

Who would like to play? You can withdraw any time before July 30, and please let me know.

I haven't found a thread like this on here, so I figured I'd start one myself :-)

There are many times when I'd like to get into making a new format of art, but I'm not quite sure how. And it would be so helpful to see one "in person", to get a better idea. But then, obviously, I have nothing similar to trade for it, and I'm stuck.

So the idea behind this thread is to ask someone to "make me happy" with a new type of art to me. And then you list up to 3 things you'd like to get. Would you like to discover the world of inchies? Chunky pages? Moos? Art dolls? Postcards? Recipe cards? Etc.

Here's my example:

Who will make me happy with:
1. a chunky book page
2. an art doll
3. something steampunk

The next person to post will agree to make the person above happy with one or more item(s), and list up to 3 things (s)he would like to get.

--------------------------

* You need a positive 3+ I-Trader rating to participate.
* All items must be mailed within two weeks of acceptance. Keep communication open via pm.
* Please be willing to mail your card internationally.
* Please pm for addresses and do not post in the thread.

* Questions? Something not clear? Feel free to pm me :-)

------------------------

I'll start it off...
Who will Make Me Happy with
1. a chunky book page
2. an art doll
3. something steampunk

So...my 21st birthday's in a few weeks and my best friend has convinced me to do something to celebrate. So I thought 'might as well have a Halloween party" I love Halloween, it's my favourite holiday and I figured why not have two in the year, the Queen has two birthdays after all *logic* :P

Anyways, we've imported a few decorations from people who sell all year round, but we could do with a few more spooky touches. So if anyone has any unwanted decorations, or anything that can be easily made, I'd love to trade with you! Handmade is awesome, or bought things you no longer need are just as awesome. I know postage can be expensive, so I wouldn't expect anything heavy or overly bulky.

Please let me know what you would like to trade for. I would be happy to make you ATCs or APCs in any theme or colour you like. I can do book marks, postcards, ect. too. I'm happy to do multiples for you as well.

Hope to hear from some of you :3
