"Happy" - I was inspired by the image from the calendar on this one. This woman just looked so joyous, I had to use it. The word "Happy" came from a Kraft colored envelope that was in the package. I die cut the small flowers from a beautiful envelope liner that was included. I cut another flower from a piece of scrapbook paper included, and had to use a piece of that acetate tag as a border piece. The number came from a piece of the book text.
"You Can't Skip" - I saw this phrase and knew I just had to use it. I cut the banners from the same envelope as the word Happy from the previous card, and colored them with pencils. I'm not sure what the striped piece of paper is, but I used that as a chair for the little girl, and for the bottom of her hat. I used another piece of paper, which might have been packaging for the remainder of the hat. The number came from a page of book text. And, I used the negative space from the flowers I die cut for the Happy card as a stencil on this one.
"The beautifullest lady" I was about to use a piece of that book page for the bottom border on a card, but this phrase just jumped out at me, and I made her. The crown was included, already die cut, so I used on my lady. The diecut border on the bottom of the card was white, but I did some ink blending to make it more vintagey. I die cut the keys from the book page. The number is from a calendar page.
"Take one step" - This was the phrase on one of the calendar page. The number on this card came from the same page. The bottom border was the "O's" from a long "NNOOOOOOOOIPE" scrap. I was so enamored of the leaf die included that I backed it with some of the net and made it the star of the foliage arrangement behind the girls. I die cut several other pieces of foliage from the other pieces of paper using the Tim Holtz Funky Foliage. There were so many great choices, I was able to use a different piece for each leaf. |
