Yay! It's very fun to know the returns are landing!

Shara, I think "If Only" probably gave you a big wet kiss back. It was ever saucy, that one . . .

Hooray! They've reached the West Coast! So glad you're happy, Martha!

Sharazoid, may I suggest that if you find yourself echolocating, you seek medical help immediately!

Tyheetess, I must apologize! I typically scan cards when I get them, but I couldn't get clear scans of yours because of the embellishments, so I didn't save the images. I should have taken pictures.

winterchild, I agree with you! It is lovely at this site, isn't it?! I love this community . . .

Aww, winterchild! I am so tickled that I had the honor of being your first swap host here on this fabulous site! We all hope you'll be here for many, many more!

Looking at your double exclamation marks, I have to ask a question, because I had a whole conversation with myself about this word when I was swapping out the cards!

My husband and I routinely use the word "bum," which has become, in some American parenting circles, the genteel way of saying "butt" (an ugly word if ever there was one). My mother-in-law, who is Australian, apparently finds this quite offensive, which I only recently learned, since she's never told me so directly. Is this word widely considered offensive in Australia? And how about New Zealand? I think my American cousin, who has been living in New Zealand for 20 years, says "bum," but I'm not sure . . .

I always think bum is a pretty safe/tame word. Butt, slightly more slangish, ie "Get your butt in gear" and ass is a wee bit even more crude, you'd call someone an ass but not a butt... and call someone a "bum" and it used to mean hobo, slob, tramp, n'er-do-well type as in "bumming around" meaning doing nothing much.

    Not that you asked.

Anyway, my cards arrived - thanks to Ann (of course), Joyflower, Amy and Kiddio55!

No Ann.. Bum is not usually offensive here, but then NZers can be pretty crude sometimes.... I feel more people swear as part of everyday language here than in the UK!

I was surprised here that all school children are called kids....and noone minds but in England some people didn't like the term! Nowt so funny as language or queer as folk

I had no idea about "kids," Bobby! There's another foot I've probably crammed into my mouth! LOL!

Okay, Bad Deciderers, I think our bus has reached its destination. Thank you all for making this swap so wonderfully entertaining and enjoyable! You all made some amazing cards! I'm moving us over into the Archives. Sniff!
