Question: why is it only two cards? I make cards as sets, so making 6 isn't that much more work than making 3. Would making 3 be that much more working than making 2?

    Welcome, bridgetgethins and a123andpoof!

Crystal, I should probably learn to make cards as sets! As Russell & Cindyjob can attest I spend at least 90 minutes and often upwards of two hours on every card that I make (which is not something I am proud of - I would like to be able to work faster, dammit!). When I made up this swap, I was just thinking about it from my own POV. At this time of the year, I would be very attracted to a swap that only required me to invest four hours (or six with a host card), versus a minimum of six (or eight with a host card).

mupps, you're in! And let me just say, for the record, one-eyed zombie space octopuses will get you EVERYWHERE!

Cindyjob, the food industry has made me irresistible: Sweet, salty, chemically addictive. Mmmm . . .

It still takes me a lot of time to make cards, just not one at a time. One thing that I find that makes it a lot of fun for me is doing stages. Like stage one is backgrounds. Sometimes I'll spend an entire Saturday just making backgrounds. I play with stamps, paint, ink, pens, glue and all kind of goodies! (that's my favorite stage, if you couldn't guess) Then I just put them in a box and leave them until I join a swap theme that I want to have a similar color scheme. Then stage two, foreground and stage three, finishing touches.

I've tried doing the one card at a time thing, but I just wind up getting frustrated and not having fun. When I do sets I enjoy it more.

Oh, good, Leena! I was hoping you would come along! I'm so glad you're here!

I agree with you: I seem to have some sort of an eye thing! Blind Dates, Blind Drawing, One-Eyed Wonders. Hmm!

Crystal, I should really experiment with doing it that way one of these days. Cindy made a gorgeous masterboard that she brought down here. That seemed like a fun approach!

    LOL! Done, Bob Florence!

Amerasu, you can hang out with Cindyjob, but she'll probably get paint on your jeans, so be careful.
