ummmmmmmmm the answer to that one is a emphatic NO! You know that saying...."I came, I saw, I conquered"??? Well, my saying is "I came, I saw, I signed up!!" The first month I was in AFA I tried to keep the number down. I've since just given up the charade that I even MIGHT limit the ones I do. TOOOOOOO many way cool ones I'd regret missing out on! Face it girl....there is NO CURE!!!

Way to go LauraD! Welcome to the club!

genaflatley...I do not know. I've used diamond glaze and a craft adhesive stick to add text pages. This time I will most likely do that then spray a fixative over it then add anything else on top...and do a final diamond glaze coat.

    Any other ideas?

I'm figuring that paperback book pages being newsprint paper, they will soak up the whole world........

I have golden self-leveling gloss medium (pretty wet, thin, runny stuff)

Anyone else heard this, done this, have advice, suggestions?

My other preference is misty fuse or some new silicone release paper (dry adhesive) that I don't have any of...
    Gena,
just use a glue stick of Super 77. It works, trust me :-)

I use matte medium on the front and back of the paper, and let dry well. Usually causes some curling, so I put it in wax paper under a heavy book after it is mostly dry. But I use that technique because I am collaging small bits of paper together; you might be fine with a glue stick if you are just using a single page of paper, cut to ATC-size. I haven't noticed any real problems with bleed through from other side on old paperback paper.

WIL - is that glue stick of Super 77 available here in US or is it a Dutch product? I can check at Michaels later today....[/QUOTE]

Super 77 I have bought at JoAnn's or Michaels. Glue sticks I buy here, but they are universal so you should have no problems finding them.

OMG......(brushing dust off as I exit the book vault)...I just found a 2nd edition 1958 book of american verse. It is so beat up and actually broken in half along spine, and some of the pages are literally falling apart. Sooooooo, I should not be too concerned about using pages from it right??? I mean, its not worth anything in this condition, sooooooo ripping it up further is not sacriligious is it??????? <eyeballing the pages, thinking how perfect they are>

Sounds like a perfect find to me!

I've done Zentangles over dictionary text and they turned out wonderful!

Both of these are traded: "Marigold Mosaic" and "Color Collector"
