Definition of Mixed Media Art Journal (for this swap): Each spread should be worked in whatever medium is most comfortable for the artist, except when the book owner requests a specific medium. Examples: mixed media collage, acrylics, drawing, watercolor, etc. Use one medium or several, just make it your best work.

The rules that will keep us all happy (from Book Journal Guidelines).
    • You Promise that you will see this through to the end no flaking allowed!
    • You are willing and able to do your very best work
    • You will mail on time the 1st of each month.
    • You must ship ten journals around the world using MANDATORY tracking/Delivery Confirmation no media mail
If something unforeseen (major major stuff not just getting behind) please PM me and we will work something out.
    • Purchase your moleys,- they are appox. 3.5x5.5 pick out a theme - fill out and decorate the first non-accordion pages with your name, address, and travel plan. You can find them at Amazon.com and also at MoleskineUS.com.
    • You may decorate the cover or not.
    • Then, the first 3 accordion pages are all yours.
    • This is a good time to establish your theme and color scheme this will give your fellow artist a better sense of your theme.
Each artist is to create a three page layout in each journal received Please do only your very best work

Optional include a little something extra in the back pocket of the journal for the artists working on your journal art paper, ATC, signature card, small charm, bookmark, etc. This is just for fun some of members want to play, but no pressure on anyone to participate.

Remember to mail on TIME and use first class mail with Mandatory tracking/delivery Confirmations (post DCN) - use a well padded bubble envie, sturdy box or a small Flat Rate Box - for $5.20 to anywhere in the US, Priority Mail shipping takes just 2-3 days.

    Participants and themes:
    • catscradle - My theme is Winter Holidays. Chanukah, Yule, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Year's, etc. What holidays do you celebrate? Any medium, any style, any color scheme.
    • alanabannana - I would like my theme to be whimsical zetti. Flowers with faces, fish with legs, chickens with human heads, that sort of thing
    • Pennyquilter - My theme will be Halloween. Anything goes!
    • HeatherR -My theme is Primitive folk art (more rustic than country) with faded colors and a vintage look. You can do almost anything within this theme, animals, people, scenery etc. Harvest/ fall is okay, but please avoid holidays. Example Color Scheme: golden yellow (also called goldenrod) and beige, Brown, reddish-brown (barn red), bronze, slate blue (bluish-gray), midnight blue (a cross between navy blue and black), gray, and olive or army green.
    • theweavershand - I'd like to have Zetti as my theme as well with the added twist of having the color scheme be red/white/black.
    • Robin - I would like my theme to be " Whimiscal Flowers & Butterflies "!( don't have to be realistic they can be fun and with lots of colors )
    • goatgoddess - I'll go with Birds with Text - you can use text as a design element or do a quote with birds
    • babynavyblue - Theme: Zetti
    • mrubyjean - I'd like my theme to be "Tea Parties" ~ any kind (realistic, magical or fantastical) with people, animals or made-up beings.
    • chatty - Theme: Whimical Art

All righty!! This train is calling passengers to get on board!

Upon requesting permission to come aboard, please let me know what your theme is so I can update the first post.

Those already on board, I need your theme, please!

Once I know who's traveling this party train, I'll work on the mailing schedule.

Thanks, Heather. Got you updated on the first post.

I have mailing info for both Pennyquilter and HeatherR from Moley Group 12, unless anything has changed.

Nothing has changed here. It's kinda weird. My kids keep asking when we're going to move again. LOL. My youngest has lived in 4 homes and she just turned 4! The address/ info you have is current.

    Got you updated, Alana.

I changed mine a little; still Zentangles, but I'd like color instead of just black and white.

I have never done Zentangles before so think I'll start practicing already. Glad you added color.

Hold off on the Zentangles, MJ. My mind is wrapped around a totally different concept now.

I really am going to stick with this one, though, as I have some fun ideas floating around.

My theme is Winter Holidays. Chanukah, Yule, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Year's, etc. What holidays do you celebrate? Any medium, any style.

I ordered my journal yesterday, so it should be here by Monday. After I get Debra's group 12 moley out, I'll start on the cover for this one.

Since I celebrate Christmas, I'm making my cover look like a wrapped gift. I'll be mailing in my orange and purple crocheted bag as well.

There was a large group wanting to get into a moley group. Where did they all go?

Maybe they don't want to do mixed media? I PM'd people in group 12 who expressed interest in another group. Those were the first ones in this new group.

If I get 8, then we'll go with that. I want to mail out October 1.

We have an Amazon Prime account, so we only pay shipping once a year. It's great, because I can order one day and it gets here two-three days later!

(Just ordered snow cone syrup for the kids and it got here yesterday. Great service, Prime!)
