Melissa, by mixed-media does that mean we have to use more than one media on each three pages we work on? Or......can we paint the whole thing, or college the whole thing?

When I say mixed media, I really mean the entire journal. I'd like each artist to do what's most comfortable for them, whether it's collage, painting, drawing, a combination of techniques, etc. I think when artists are comfortable in their technique, it really shows.

Shipping weight as per Amazon.com is 4.8 oz., but that's the brand-new blank journal, before pages are added. It gets heavier--mine finished one is about 6-8 oz. easy.

Just looked at the shipping costs, but it is too much as most participants will be in the US. Shipping starts at around USD 15, but that is without tracking. With tracking it is a flat rate of USD 35. So I am going to pass this one...

Maybe you can try to find a group that's mostly in the UK. Sorry it didn't work out for you this time. It can get expensive.

not sure on my theme yet but so glad i made the train!! is it a problem for 2 people to choose a similar theme? i was seriously thinking Zetti for mine as well but i have other ideas in mind too so it wouldnt be a problem to choose something else.

Amy, there's no problem in 2 people having similar themes, or even if everyone does the same theme. It's your book, so you choose your theme.

Gonna have to pass this time, as much as I want to participate with all these great artists. My life is a bit uncertain right now and I'm not feeling I can commit and don't want to disappoint. I'll be watching the thread tho to see everyone's art!
