    October ATART official thread!

Sniisk, HHC and KESagers are your hosts for this ATART weekend!

Sniisk is coming to America - NJ to be exact and we are hosting a marathon the weekend that we will be together. HHC is going to help us host from the West Coast!

It's an ATART so ANYTHING GOES!!!

    Starting . . .
Friday, September 30th at 12 midnight your time

    ending . . .
Monday, October 3rd 12 midnight your time but if there is enough interest we can extend it.

(There will be a live gathering at KESagers' that Saturday, October 1st for anyone within driving distance - come meet Sniisk and art with us in person!)

    Theme suggestions:
    1. Create ATCs/art that is all about where you live!
    2. Seasonal cards - it's Halloween/Autumn here but I think it's Spring in the northern hem.
    3. Your favorite dessert. We're having cupcakes here so Sniisk can try them for the first time.

More theme suggestions are welcome. Looking forward to arting with everyone!

I baked and froze this in cupcake form for Saturday:

    MILKY WAY® CAKE
    Printed from COOKS.COM

Yellow cake mix with pudding in it
6 lg. MILKY WAY® candy bars
    1 stick butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake according to directions. Melt
the MILKY WAY® candy bars and butter over low heat. Add to
prepared cake batter and mix well. Grease and flour an angel food
type pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 50 minutes or until
toothpick inserted comes out clean. When cooled you may sprinkle
powdered sugar on top. Note: This cake is excellent after it's been in
    the refrigerator.

I'm going to ice them with triple chocolate frosting.

By the way, I'm working on a variety of things, and have some backgrounds in progress.
This is a 12x12 piece of light chipboard that I've layered with torn papers, and then tissue and napkins. I've since rubbed in some dye ink, and added a light wash of paint. I will be adding to this before cutting in to ATC backgrounds.

I am hoping to get some play time too. Have some commitments on my days off ... but should be able to do some art in there somewhere! I am having an art night with a couple friends Sunday night ~ last get together before one moves away ~ so maybe I'll toss out a bunch of ATC blanks and we'll see what happens! Although .... we usually end up drinking wine and doing funky paintings ... hmmm ... maybe some chunky pages ... that could be fun!!
