Nope, no examples yet. Last year or so, I did a series of torn paper ATCs. This is just a stretch from them.
You want a plain background on your card so that your photo parts will pop. You can use paint, ink or paper to make that background.
Then you will take a photo that you have taken. You might make it wallet-size or you might not. Actually you might use just part of a photo, because you only have 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches to play with.
You tear your photo. Ideally you will ahve several to play with as you may not like your first results. Your ATC does NOT have to look like your original photo. I am hoping that after you tear and rearrange, you will have something that pleases you. More than likely it will be abstract art. I happen to love abstract so this process will work for me. I hope it works for you, too.

I welcome examples to the thread.

I have nifty photos I took Sunday night of fireworks that were set off in our driveway. I guess eventually you will all be seeing bits and pieces of those fireworks!

Of course, I'll add you tamjam.

I made some cards for this and they're drying.I'll post tomorrow. I have three I like.

If you come up with an unplain background that works for your photo, just do it. Finding the right color for the backgrounds was a challenge to me. Tearing is no problem. This is kind of like making mosaics....but far easier, trust me!

    Added you, Joss.

I made some cards for this yesterday and tried to post them here. The computer and I weren't friends so that didn't happen. Later I will put them in my gallery and try posting them here again.

and magically after several attempts, those cards appeared!

I think if you printed your image on paper lighter than photo paper, it would be easier to tear.

I have been away from here for quite a while and I think this is exactly where I would like to jump in again. May I join Nancy?
