    Impromptu Marathon - NOW!

There is an Impromptu Mrathon - Now! Hosted by Sharlene54 and KESagers.

Now until midnight your time Monday, Jan 23rd.

Several of us are snowed in or close to snowed in or just don't want to go out in the snow right now so Sharlene and Kristin are hosting a marathon. All art mediums are welcome.

Please post your art in this thread and in the Marathon Gallery.

Ask for trades through a PM and have a great time!

Just a reminder that when something trades please move it out of your marathon gallery.

    Who wants to play?

Me too. I'll be posting my first card in a few minutes.

How are you doing monarch? Welcome. How is your weather? We are having snow, maybe about 6". It should end soon. My hubby is headed outside to get started with the snowblowing. NOT ME!!

Ohh could you please send some of that snow my way?! We haven't even had a proper winter yet so far, tis as if the grey, rainy and stormy autumn has been prolonged and prolonged and prolonged! It's crazy outside right now as well, heavy hailstorm going on. Ugh. So I'm with you for wanting to stay in!!

I'm kind of (or should be anyway, am procrastinating a lil online.. oopsie) real busy with studying for my last final next Tuesday.. but maybe I can toss in some ATC creation time as well in my pauses.. Though I'm like 1.5 chapters behind on my schedule so best get back to it!

Have fun y'all! Will come back later to take a peak at your lovely creations

Oh nice card Sharlene! We got 2.5 inches here and it stayed light and fluffly. We are getting a little ice now but I am hoping that wont last long.

Does someone want snow? I could give 10-20 inches! It has been snowing last two weeks without any break and we have too much snow, again. And it's still snowing...

sniisk,if we had 10-20 inches of snow, everything would stop and we would be in big trouble. It would be called a blizzard and all you would see on the news, would be snow, snow and more snow. Actually, that's all they have on the local news now. I want spring; I'm a warm weather girl.

Craftyvox, I hope you get your studying done. Do check in later for an update.

I think everything has been working normally here. So far we have had enough people working to keep roads mostly clear etc. No delays in bus timetables or anything like that, yet.

I have not seen any snow at all this winter. Just like Craftyvox said, only lots of rain and wind. Don't know whether I can make some atc's for trading, because I have to work on a couple of quilts. Anyway will post pictures of my progress with them, and of course check in now and than to see what you all are doing.

The Niagara peninsula, where I live, is bounded by two Great Lakes (Ontario and Erie) and the Niagara River which creates a temperate zone in the midst of this northern region. So we had snow, and more today, but rarely do we get socked with it. Instead, we have a lovely snow, and a day later the roads are dry and safe while the lawns and homes are beautifully white. Then it goes away and we get another lovely snowfall!

I will post when I get some cards or whatever done...what a great idea!!!

We would love to see the quilts you are working on Wil Opio Oguta.

I guess it is relative to what we are used to. Anyway, welcome Jean. Can't wait to see your creations.

Hello all, I just saw your pm! I have been working on some chunkies for the black and white chunky swap. I will scan them a bit later!

Good luck everyone with the snow, the stormy weather and the rain... Is there anyone relaxing in the sun?

    Thanks for the PM!
Not sure what my time is going to be like this weekend...we just got over a messy snowstorm...a few lovely moments, but basically snow in Seattle just turns into a mess. You are lucky, Jean...sounds a bit like the childhood snows I remember in New England!
I'll try to play...but I do have to catch up on errands I couldn't get to this past week!
