Here're a couple of homers I'm finally getting sent out to our Char. I've also got four others that'll be sent out to some #3s and a couple of sets of buddy cards to send.

I received some backgrounds from big toe studio myself! Going to find some pattern that is perfect for them and get started soon.

Looks like everyone is having fun with this. I want to thank Chardonnay1965 for letting me step in to help out.

    A Question

Someone has asked me what kind of cardstock to use when starting cards.

Since I have never started cards I am not sure. I went to Michaels and bought what they call cardstock to start some I have plans for, but other than that I have no idea so I thought I would ask the question to our "experts"!

So Ladies and Gents what do you all use as backing when starting cards? Please share your ideas with us all. Thank you!!!

I just use plain old cardstock (scrapbook paper) most times. I use my judgement if I think it needs backing for more support. Heck, I even cut up the covers of cards that I get atcs sent to me in, when I like them, and use 'em for backgrounds.

Question, is LauraD a "homers only"? I went through the list here picking who to send to and then went over to the addy list and over there it says that she is. I know you're real busy Mary Ann but I just want to clear it up.

    Trina thanks for asking..........

I have found the first mistake athough I'm sure it's not the only one............

Not sure why I removed Homers only from LauraD as I have not heard from her since I started this so I am going to put it back on

Sorry if anyone has mailed anything to her......... If you have let me know and I will make it up to you somehow.............

I really like watercolor paper for card foundations, but I do WC, and so always have scraps on hand.
If you really want to be sturdy, get scarp mat board-they usually have scraps at michaels or anywhere they do framing.

Trini-lovin' your homers, they are both too fun

This was my "work on jam cards" weekend...finished three, all backgrounds by big toe studio, so they will be headed back to her... [with 1) locatray 2) oddbreed and 3) Cynthia Sillitoe] ~ they were really fun to work on!

Also have three to send on to third artists!

I am loving all this activity!

I have a couple of sets the stuff is stitched, all I need now is time to back them and get them on the cards. Also have plenty of ideas for the set I just received.

    Keep up the fun ladies!
