My APC list
Hi Linda, thanks for sending out the by PM the first address list.
Based upon some of the comments on the list, I have a question about:
"MEDIAS: I will work on cards in these medias:
Color Pencil ~ Markers ~ Acrylics ~ Watercolor ~"
Are we to answer it meaning:
"I will accept cards that have been done in these medias"
or
"When I receive a card, I will add my work in these medias"
??
Thanks.
I saw you in my dreams ~ We were walking hand in hand
I took it to be, These are the media I have available to work in. If it's the other way, then I'll work on any media someone wants to send out.

kentuckydakota is correct. I put that because some card sets may be designated as a specific medium by the first player. I don't think this will be so at first, but maybe later when we get a feel for each others art. Then for example, three of you may want to do a all watercolor or all acrylic set.
I have been working on making "Journals" my first is
posted in the journal chat, and I will be adding others soon!

I put three sets in the mail today. We gotta really watch the status lists because my very first mailing I almost sent a set to the only person who is temporarily on hold, duh, LOL
I also screwed up one of the tree cards so gotta make another before mailing them.
I'm sorry, but I still am not clear in my understanding of what the Medias[media] designation is indicating. I'm still wondering, are we to answer it meaning:
"I will accept cards that have been done (started) in these media"
or
"When I receive a card, I will add my work in these media".
If you look at the PM'd list, it seems artists are answering it both ways.
Help.MEDIAS: any medium is fine with me
MEDIAS: ~ Markers ~ Acrylics ~ Watercolor ~Chalks ~Gouache
MEDIAS: mostly markers, but can do some watercolor or acrylics
MEDIA: will work on all media(not oils)
MEDIA: colour pencils, watercolour, acrylics![]()

dang....just got my envelopes decorated, addressed and ready to go and see I am supposed to ask first...sigh...why didn't I see this thread before...don't know how I missed all this..sigh.I made some backgrounds ...monoprints w/ block printing inks. Was sending a set to Linda4atc and mariloupatch. I included a small practice piece for each player as the medium is different, but explained that acrylics and pens would work over it or it can be lifted w/ water. What should I do now???
I agree to the painting and attaching....can more easily paint the same thing and get it right before ruining the background.
I'll teach anybody anything I know, I just don't want to work.
I think the less rules the easier....HD/Hp is enough for me. Did this in a fine arts group and we managed just fine.

I agree, especially since we can "glue on" our hand-done additions. It does not matter to me which hand-done medium is added.
But I'll go along with whatever is decided ... but for now, unless we drop the "Media" designation, I still don't know which way we are supposed to answer the question. Existing mediums that I want to work on, or, Mediums that I will add to the card. ?? [See post #26, and how that question is currently being answered differently by group members.]

I am so sorry ladies. This weekend took it out of me. I got on here last night and tried to do my replies and stopped to make dinner. I never got back to it, I was asleep at 8:30.
If anyone isit's me and my directions.
Is what I meant.
Point taken, I don't have a problem removing stuff. Or even letting someone else run the whole thing. I've just wanted to be a part of some hand drawn/painted RR's since I did a set of SandyMutts.
Art101 I meant it as "When I receive a card, I will add my work in these medias" I will go ahead and remove the media completely to simplify.

Hey Linda, thanks for your hard work in trying to get this RR up and running. I know that any sort of host duties are time consuming, and running a RR thread has got to be time consuming too.
We participants really need to help work it out so that you, the list keeper, has an easy time of it!
Here's what I sent as a PM yesterday: "MEDIAS: I will happily accept cards made with any HD/HP medium. I will add watercolor, acrylic, ink, and/or gouache. I might use gluing for my additions."
Hopefully the other artist that said "no glue" won't end up with one of their cards on my desk.Depending on the background, if I am doing watercolor or gouache, I might have to use glued on additions.
We'll get it all squared away, I'm sure, on the wording and stuff.

Lindagiese, You don't have to ask anyone on the continuous list.
I am going to remove the Limited option. But we will keep the HOMERS Only List. It has worked for the Continuous Round Robin thread for a long time. People on that list will not accept any new cards. But they still want to receive their card from any and all sets they worked on.

Your list today of updated artist info seems easier, both for you to keep track of and for the artists in constructing/mailing cards.![]()

Awesome. I really want to make this work for everyone.
I am not allowing the no gluing option as a theme don't, since we agreed to allow it. If someone wants to have special rules for a set of cards they can set it up with the three players in advance.
Also I am making a no lose glitter add on to the rules.

Linda4atc... didn't mean to be negative! I really appreciate your taking this group on. I will go along with whatever. Was just trying to simplify things, so we could all do what we really want... create art. Happy warm hugs for trying to sort us out!
I'll teach anybody anything I know, I just don't want to work.
Believe it or not Linda4, we still have confusion about rules in the other RR group and it's been going for a couple of years. Everyone is really great at working together though and forgiving when we don't quite see things the same way. I think your idea of simplifying the rules is a good one! Looks to me like we're off and running.![]()

LOL No problem lindagiese, you have to be very intentional to phase me. I had no problem with your comments.
kentuckydakota I sure hope it doesn't take us years, LOL. I am using most of what that thread has already tested out.
