Della, if you get them postal ASAP, they should make it to me in time. I won't actually be able to get to the PO until Thursday so if I can get them in the next day or so, in time to swap out and get postal on Thursday, then you are in. I won't give you negative trader cause you have been communicating. But if I don't get them by Wed nite I may have to send them back to you... So lets keep our fingers crossed!

I will get them to you in the morning's post tomorrow, but I doubt that they will get to you in a day. So you are welcome to keep them for a gift. Just consider them to be a little gift to cheer you up after your surgery!! Gaia gave you away, and I KNOW what it's like to even spend a few hours in a hospital, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!! I went through abdominal surgery in 2011, and so I really would like you to have these cards to cheer you up just a little bit!!
    Get well soon!

Here are my backgrounds. Two of them are with Tim Holtz distress inks, an embellished napkin and paste paper.

Paste paper is a way to make textured paper. You make a paste, color it and put it on paper. You can then stamp on it or texture it in a number of ways. It's fun to do but can be messy. I used Lisa Vollrath's method for paste paper with fabric softener for the one in the picture. It's quick and inexpensive. If you want texture with more depth, you can make paste or use a commercial paste. Noro paste works well.

Wow, Thanx everso for the link, I just went over and signed up for the email subscription. Read the whole article on the paste paper technique and it sounds like ever so much fun!! And inexpensive, to boot. And I already have a pretty good stash of cheapy acrylic paint so all I need is the goo and some brushes.... WOO HOOOO Second link turned out informative as well.... THANK YOU THANK YOU, sounds like LOADS of fun!

Nothing to do with this swap but a good place to ask I think - I am loving the Chunky format and would love to make a book - with that in mind do Chunky PATs exist ?
Is there someone who has/could host one ?
I would love to sign up - but please make one group mixed media and not just hand drawn/hand painted if that is OK !
