I found my muse, it was on my floor in the form of a broken bra, Yes, the underwire came out of yet another bra. I am heading to my craft room now.

Ok, I've a question...I'm fairly new to atc's and I'm curious how everyone else is attaching their metal element? I've used modpodge for one of mine, but I'm afraid that it might not be enough for a heavier element...Help please!!

    Dragon597,
It depends on how heavy your metal pieces are. I personally wouldn't use modge podge to attach metal pieces or embellishments in general. It works for some people but I reserve modge podge for gluing paper and sealing sometimes. I use a tacky glue to glue my embellishments on. You could go with the name brand Aleene's or my personal favorite is "The Ultimate!" glue... I love this stuff so much. It is one of the glues that I always keep stocked in my art room and it hasn't let me down yet. You don't necessarily have to get that. I guess my bottom line advice would be a more thicker, tackier glue than modge podge. Someone else may have another suggestion for you, bug that's mine. I hope it helps.

Hally - I have found Aileene's 'Jewel It' to be very great for anything and it dries clear. Might be similar to ultimate. I know a lot of people use E600 (I think that is the name of it) but I have never had to.

I wondered about attaching the metal too. That is why i went for textiles for texture...i sewed or wired the metal in place. I did just buy e600, but have not tried it yet.

Ohmigosh I just received a bunch of fabulous background cards that are naturals for this swap, and won't have to work too hard to scavenge bits of metal to go with them, so count me in!

I know I'm a bit late on this one, but in this swap, I've stitched my metal on (but I used a thin sheet of metal, so it works) - usually for heavy metal items I use E6000. Or a glass/china glue will work well. We have different brands over here, so I don't really know Aileen's or The Ultimate Glue....

Anyway. Here are my cards - the scan doesn't really do them justice I think, as the metallic ribbon comes out quite dull and the textured papers don't really show much. But it's a general idea!
