CiCi, I finished your set. Let me know which one you'd like. I hope you don't think I changed your part of the card too much by outlining your bears! I just thought it'd look strange if only the background was outlined and the belly needed to be covered to look like sushi!

Originally, I was thinking of putting them on a blanket or falling from the sky but then I realized that I only needed one more card to fill my "Cute Food" page so I figured why not make the teddy bears into cute food?

My additions: outlined everything (including her bears), all of the sushi parts (including the wrap across the belly), all of the background.

A bigger picture is in my gallery.

What a creative idea! So cute! I really can't decide, so if you have a favorite, you can send me the other one.

Has anyone done a 3 card buddy card set yet? As in with 3 artists?

And here is a copy of one of the cards from the buddy sets that Marie posted:
She started this set off (left image) and I finished it off (right image)

3 artists/card set would be round robins. So yeah, just go to the other thread.

Yep, they're called Continuous Random Round Robins, ParadoxSketchbook, and are a lot of fun. Creative and challenging. It's on the other thread, CRRR8.

Making inchies helps! This is my goal now to here on just fill a bunch of small drawing sinto one ATC. I pretty much made boxes with a pencil that were roughly inchie sized then treated each one as it's own drawing.

So yea - Marie if you can share your secrets on how you made the sketchbook that would be awesome because I really love that background.

Haha Paradox, that card was amazing and detailed!!! The sketchbook is the easy part! Just border the blank card so the sketchbook has a surface to be on, draw your spiral making sure to include the holes it's going through. I like to include a little bit of the adjoining page as well. Draw a couple lines close together under the spiral to be the edges of the pages and shade appropriately. I like to turn up/shade one corner too. This lets you show more pages and the inside of the sketchbook cover too, and makes notebook look well used. Easy enough... then you come along and ... BAM. It becomes a real journal page. Linda did an awesome one as well. :-)

ParadoxSketchbook will be stepping in to host and will start a new Buddy Card thread sometime tomorrow. When it is up and running I will post a link here and close this thread. Because you all are so awesome I will still be around to Buddy-Up on some pretty art.

I have a question? I got a new computer system in January & for the life of me can't figure out how to scan or post pictures to the thread & don't really have anyone to help me learn. Is it possible that I can do blind ATCs? I always try to do a good job but just have no way of scanning them. Can I still play in MM if I can't scan the ATCs? I really would like to try this.... Thanks for any help or info....

FG... I hoard mine through my phone. That being said.. it's still not easy. I don't see why you couldn't play blind as long as your 'buddy' knows and is okay with it. Some folks might not want to, but many wouldn't mind. :-) I'd play with you. :-)

Oh well... I actually hadn't thought of that because I kept thinking you used some magical tools to make the spiral so neat. Thank you for sharing that method - be warned you might see it in the future plenty of times from me as I really loved the idea of not having to deal with a background every time I draw something! It really is clever to just put a sketchbook there as nothing is better than the materials we use for a background.

And thank you kindly for that!

Just glad that I can help keep the thread going as I find the entire concept quite unique!

Blind Trades: for just anywhere on this lovely site I believe the rule is "make sure the other artist(S) knows that is is a blind trade and you'll be fine" so yup you're all good to go! If you need technical help then feel free to PM me (I am the IT for our department at work so no biggie).

THAT brings up something... I know the gallery says the "size" limit is 500 KB but does anyone know the dimensions? I keep trying to upload an image that has multiple cards in one and it refuses to accept the image (it is 487 KB).

^ Ditto! I would play blind as well as it adds a little surprise to the whole process!
