    Exclamation

UPDATE! - SeARTle will be held April 29-May 1, 2016. (Rates jump WAY too high during the summer months, and we want to be affordable!)

The hotel we had before is remodeling and no longer has their meeting room SOOOO our best sounding alternative is Clarion Hotel Seattle Airport.
We would have the meeting room ALL DAY Friday, Saturday AND Sunday with 24 hour access. They didn't seem to care how many rooms we have to give us the meeting room rate. Yay!

Guest room rates are $84.99 per night for single or double. Breakfast is included in rate.

    More information coming soon!

It's off season rates... they go up the next week I think, and then more in June. Mid summer they are about $40-60 higher a night. Thus, our chosen date.

Marking my calendar & subscribing to this thread! You're 1400 miles from me as the 737 flies, but about the closest "real" city, and on my way to anywhere else in the "Lower 48". Oh, and big discounts on flights were announced today. If any of you know anyone from Alaska who wants to attend, let me know & I may have a cheap companion fare they can use.

KPinAK, fabulous that you are hoping to come! I've been to Anchorage once, for a professional meeting several years ago, where we got to take time out to watch the beginning of the iditarod.

.....and there goes the prize for the most miles traveled, yeah KpinAK!

I checked airfare, and do you know that Southwest does not have a schedule for those dates up yet? Grrr...

    KinPink;
Were you at Artzona this year? There was someone from Alaska there. If it wasn't you, she might be interested in coming to Seattle.

That wasn't me. So if anyone knows the Alaskan who was at artzona last year, feel free to have her pm me! I think there's only one other current Alaskan registered on AFA right now, and he and I are already in contact :-)

It just occurred to me last night… We could trade cards at Seartle without having to mail them to each other!

KPinAK, yes, we usually trade cards and other "mail" type art. It's quite fun!

Everyone should note, art trades made in person are NOT eligible for iTraders, but certainly eligible for you rocks.

The eat chocolate part is especially important. I would even say vital.

So peoples... the hotel I mentioned has a good price. They don't include breakfast, and do not have refrigerators in the room. Can we all live with that for a weekend? (Coolers work to keep the wine cold, LOL!)

I am looking at other options; so far they are more expensive one way or the other (charge for parking; meeting room is 2-3 times as much, etc)

    Opinions?
