Mak - Sure I can do that for you.... I noticed that the ship prices are really cheap right now, not sure when the dates are finishing though. Hope you do come and get to see your daughter.

Oh my goodness... I have spent a few hours with Bev yesterday at her shop and talking over the classes she will offer, OMG you girls have no idea how lucky you are going to this live meet!!! I am so excited!!!

Just wait until you see what those classes are going to be.....

Alicen and Mak - that makes me very jealous!! My daughter introduced me to this site but has been too busy (with full time work and a nearly 2 year old) to visit here much lately - I would love to be able to have a mother/ daughter adventure with her.
I look forward to meeting you both in October.

Donnacr - Yeah I have a daughter who doesn't even craft.. *sigh* I do stuff with her girls instead...they say it skips a generation.....

Hello Everyone! Please put me on your list of participants and if anything changes I'll let you know. Originally, I thought this retreat was in September so I promptly booked my house/pet sitter for that month. She is a very busy lady so I am hoping she can switch the dates for me. If not, I may not be able to attend. I have one back up I may be able to use to look after my pets during my absence. We'll see what happens. I sure do hope I can come!

I have 1 daughter who is a fantastic scrapbooker, winning prizes at the Gold Coast show every year and 1 daughter to whom craft is her idea of hell. My son is very good with colours and design and was the best knitter when I taught them all.
So far only a grandSON who is already ball mad and very active - not looking good for sitting still and doing crafts with him.

I started a post and pushed the big red X by mistake.. LOL Here we go again.

For you lovely ladies who are attending this meet there are a few things you can be working on to prepare you for the meet.
1. A creative name badge - there is a prize for the best one.
2. 20 Signature cards.
I have added here examples of what I did the last couple of times to give you a sample.

3. Trade cards - as we do a live trade with those who attend - I usually make an extra card for all the Australian swaps I am in and others that I make over the year. You can bring along your Available folder if you wish.
4. Think about something that you would like to donate 20 of for the gift bags.. LOL (this is only if you want to donate something)

That should keep you busy! LOL

mouseit - I offered to make the bags for this year and managed to luck out some gorgeous MOUSETACHE material!!

I haven't been game to cut it yet but I have last year's bag for a template and will start them soon - good to know that I have to make 20 as there is an upper limit.
